Overall a great hotel! We had a fantastic stay. Area was nice and quiet, with easy walking distance to Bourbon Street and Jackson Square. Room was very clean and had all basic amenities (except for a fridge and microwave) which was very disappointing as we did have lots of leftover food. However, staff were very kind and accommodating and allowed us to check in early since our flight landed early. Location is great if you’re looking for a nice quiet stay.
I have a love and hate feeling with this Hotel.
PROS:
- Location is great. Close enough to walk to canal and Bourbon but not too close.
- I had a King size bed corner room with double windows on each wall and the view was amazing. Loved it especially in the mornings.
- Front desk was great. I cannot remember the lady’s name but she was exceptional. I’d really only come back because she does a fantastic job.
CONS:
- Constant street/city noise, I mean what do you expect from a city hotel. If you get a window room, expect lots of revving engines, loud music and sirens throughout the night.
- No microwave or refrigerator.
- Only Valet Parking which price varies depending on size of vehicle.
- Tub water kept backing up from the shower head overpressure.
-Valet parking is in another building so you would need to call 15-20mins in advance for your vehicle.
Reason I give it a 4 is because of the room. When it was quiet the room with the view of the sunrise made up for the cons.
I gave it two stars strictly because the staff was super friendly and that’s it.
1.) location is sketchy. In the parking lot across the street there was a man doing drugs. We arrived at like 9:30pm and instantly felt on edge
2.) our room was dusty and there was mold.
3.) toilet didn’t work, there was a bug in the tub, and the ceiling was partially collapsed
4.) our towels were ALREADY wet
5.) went downstairs to address issues 2-4 and the gentleman did not hesitate to move us to a new room which was nice. Problem was that the new room had a leaking ceiling in the bathroom and as a result, had a very strongly mildew/mold scent.
6.) although “pet friendly” we had to drive elsewhere for our dog to do her business because there’s not a blade of grass anywhere near the hotel for animals to relieve themselves. Not to mention she also was not feeling the vibe and got extremely anxious every-time we stepped back into the doors.
7.) elevator was broken
8.) breakfast consisted of cereal with no milk and stale pastries.
If you’re in NOLA to get drunk on bourbon st and you don’t really have high expectations for where you lay your head at night, this is a great place to stay because it’s within walking distance but for this hotel to refer to itself as “luxury” is a joke.
Would NEVER stay here again
Positive: Staff was very nice at check in and out. Advised us on parking and a few other topics. The room was very spacious and the decor was nice. Hard floors in the room, no carpet. Negative: So the shower has very good water pressure but the hot water is VERY inconsistent. It's either blisteringly hot or cold. Taking a comfortable shower was a chore. Also, the floors could use a decent cleaning. They were a little dirtier than should be.
Positive: This hotel does not face a busy street with clubs so it?s not terribly loud at night. Negative: Water was not hot, only warm. AC was the not the best but it worked. Bathroom toilet did not flush well and counter looked like it was about to fall off the wall, it had cracks and had poor repairs already. Not sure how this is a 4 star hotel. Maybe 2.5/3
Positive: The staff was amazing; very attentive and responds well with any issue(s) that may arise. A continental breakfast was provided. Excellent location - you are within walking distance to some great restaurants. Very clean and organized. Negative: The parking garage was very convenient, but costly.
Positive: The room was clean. The staff were nice. Negative: My toilet didn't work. My AC didn't work. They switched my room and didn't tell me then a new tenant tried to enter in the middle of the night.
This was a fairly decent hotel. The staff was great and friendly. Be aware some rooms don't have windows, so try to ask for one if at all possible as it does make it as a dark dorm room type! This is a historic hotel, I was told but I wouldn't return unfortunately. The parking is valet ($61 for trucks😩)or you can find one of the garages near by at a little cheaper rate. Located in a good area however, and everything is close by, so that's 1 good thing. There was only 1 elevator working so keep that in mind but we didn't have issues getting on.
We had such a wonderful time staying at The Inn. We were greeted by our wonderful host⦠I mean warden. Todd was great and walked us around the jail, showing us where everything was. He had great suggestions for where to eat and shop. The kitchen ha
The executive king room is amazing, like having our own apartment right in the heart of the French quarter. Very clean. Great hotel staff. Easy to walk everywhere. My only complaints would be the water pressure is non-existent, but I imagine with old
Cutest gem in New Orleans. Tarra's Body Pump class at Fit Therapy was truly exceptional. Her dedication to educating the class was evident, creating an atmosphere that left me amazed. She was remarkably attentive, making the overall experience both e
