Joe and Jackie couldn’t have been kinder or more generous hosts. The cottage is spotless, charming, comfortable and very well appointed. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches and cheerful decor! Having a lovely breakfast delivered to our room every morning was very special. We loved the fresh flowers, and the beautiful homemade pralines waiting for us. Joe was very helpful in our planning excursions and they both were very easy and friendly. Thank you Joe and Jackie!
If you are looking for an elegant and charming place to stay while visiting Nachez, look no further! The cottage is semi-detached from the home, making it private and perfect for a weekend get-a-way for couples. Jackie and Joe are gracious hosts. They make the best breakfasts! We will certainly be back for another weekend.
I was a guest for the annual Christmas Tea. The family is very nice with three generations hosting the event.||||While there are numerous grand homes in Natchez, this is one of the earlier homes of the 1830s, so it reflects the style and building skills of earlier residents. It is centrally located, I walked from downtown to the house in less than ten minutes. After the tea we toured the home and saw the bedroom used for guests. Having stayed in numerous B&Bs, having a separate entrance, like this one has, is very beneficial. ||||While I did not stay there, if the breakfast is as good as what they served at the tea, you should be fine.
My husband and I wanted to travel to Natchez for our anniversary and chose to stay in Magnolia Cottage. The cottage was very quaint and clean and even had my favorite soaps! The hostess, Jackie was very gracious and a great cook! The location is very convenient to downtown Natchez. We will definitely be returning!
We found ourselves in Natchez during the Pilgrimage and were lucky for be able to get a room at Magnolia Cottage. Check-in was not until 5 pm, so we walked along the river. Parking at Magnolia Cottage is free, but tight, The room was nice, with a good sized bathroom and closet area. The WiFi worked well. The TV channels are limited. Breakfast was excellent ... Jackie, our hostess, brought it to our room at 8:30 am sharp. I booked this B&B based on the rave reviews I had read. One thing no one seems to mention is that Magnolia Cottage is right on Hwy 61 Business route. Our room was perhaps 25 feet from the road.....
My husband and I stayed in Magnolia Cottage Bed and Breakfast for 2 nights to attend a wedding in Natchez MS. Although I felt the pictures and description did not adequately describe this B&B, after our stay, I was very happy with our decision. This accomodations was large 2 rooms off of a private bungalow. The 2 rooms are large enough for table, small refrigerator and coffee station, queen sized bed, small sitting area with small couch, TV and writing desk, separate bathroom with tub/shower combination and large closet for luggage. The bed was high but very comfortable. The owner had a lot of amenities in the bathroom and the climate control was first rate. AC and heat were both used and appreciated! The hot breakfast, delivered at 8:30 AM, was very good-varied with an egg dish, meat, carb (grits or biscuits during our visit), orange juice and a fruit. The room had a tea and coffee making station. Although we were not in Natchez for tourist viewing, the little writing desk and magazine holder in the accomodation held lots lots of brochures and information on things to do and where to eat in Natchez. I would highly recommend Magnolia Cottage Bed and breakfast.
Joe & Jackie are very personable people who are a wealth of knowledge of the Natchez area. Their cottage is beautiful and cozy, the perfect place for a weekend getaway without breaking the pocket. The location is ideal for visiting Natchez and the surrounding areas. We thoroughly enjoyed the absolutely delicious hot breakfast Jackie prepared herself. We highly recommend the Magnolia Cottage B&B.
Jackie gave us a warm welcome and showed us around explaining all the details in the room. We both had bikes. She was very accomodating and showed us where we could store them in her basement around the back. Very secure. Bringing them into the room itself could easily have damaged the decor and made it quite cramped. Easy walk to town.
My BFF and I travel together every couple of years and this August we decided to go to Natchez. My BFF booked us at the Stone House and we stayed in the cottage on the back side of the property. The cottage is a 2/1 and adorable. The beds were comfor
