We stayed here overnight last weekend and I liked it because our room was spacious for the 3 of us. Everything we need such as hair blower, fridge, and hangers in the closet were there. The room and bathroom were clean. They also offered complimentary breakfast and the food are delicious, as well as the coffee. The service was good. I also like the location since it has nearby restaurants and other food establishments.
The most positive experience that I got from the stay, the rooms seemed well kept and clean.
After reading the reviews i expected what was to come for the good price. But the owners and management was very rude. They had to switch out my room I PRE-BOOKED in JULY from a double bed room to a really small and dirty looking single room. It was too much effort to find another hotel. But they had poor customer service. I asked to be accommodated to receive money back for the abrupt change and they said we could check out at 3/4pm the day we were leaving which we didn't mind because our flight didn’t come until 8pm. On the day to leave they rudely asked to leave by 2. I just say let karma hit them. Because they treated me and my friend so bad without giving any compensation in return. They think they are definitely more than what they are. They don't even provide good towels or cleaning or hangers. Their towels are like small rags. It was just terrible here. I do not suggest to stay here if you are looking to come out and enjoy New York! Hospitable owners and management needs to buy out this property and take over. They suck.
Rooms small but nice, bathrooms were beautiful really. No parking lot Need hangers in closet Housekeeping need to check lights no light bulb Price was great They did not have ice machine Staff very help enjoyed the stay really felt safe. Will notify others of a great place to stay Days in Marriott need to check their self
The area was okay, but at night some people could get a little violent. But when we got to our room there was a blood looking stain on the wall. The bathroom had a weird smell, like dried up pee trying to be covered up bu cheap air freshener. Our bed was made poorly, it still looked wrinkled and we had one blanket. In the bathroom there were 2 towels but one wash cloth and no face towels. In the hotels defense I should've know how much a decent hotel goes for in NY, but now I know how much a Nad one costs
Stayed 5 nights at the hotel. Booked 2 rooms. Everything was ok for the price paid. There’s no room service or food; just a place to stay. Rooms/bathroom were clean and staff occasionally came to offer a fresh towel. We had small refrigerators in the rooms. 2 drawbacks: - We could hear everything that was happening in the hall such as conversations and machines. - We stayed in no smoking rooms but it still smelled of weed. One way we got around this was keeping the bathroom ventilation fan on. Bottom line is for the price you pay it’s a great hotel. You won’t be bothered by staff.
I wish there was a 2 1/2 star choice. Walking from Jamaica Station to the hotel was not a pleasant experience. It is in a very rough area. Even the desk clerk was behind bulletproof glass. If you need to stay a night close to JFK, this place is an inexpensive choice (walking to and from the Air Train in daylight). But, on to the room. Small room, but very bright and clean. You can tell the place isn't that old. Google street view even shows the old building before it was torn down. But wait! No towels in the bathroom. It took 2 calls an hour apart to finally get towels delivered to the room. I put the towels on the towel rack and the rack came off the wall. Someone didn't install it correctly. The refrigerator was placed next to the bed so close that the door would only open a few inches. Who designed this room? We'll, my bright idea was to move the bed over so we could get our drinks and food in. It worked. But, the headboard didn't move with the bed because it was attached to the wall. Who designed this place? Anyway if you have no choice but to spend the night by the Jamaica Station and you want to save a few bucks (Holiday Inn is a little farther down the block at more than double the price), this would be an "OK" choice. The front desk people were nice and polite and apologized for the towel rack when we checked out.
The guy at the reception was friendly, the location wasn't so great, the room 104 was very small, the AC worked good. Just a basic place to sleep and wake. I was told the neighborhood wasn't quite safe so be guided. Services at the hotel wasn't too bad.
