The breakfast was delicious and very large. All the plays I saw were full of delicious looking food. The service was good even with all the tables full. It’s a smaller cafe with some outdoor seating. The decor is an upscale country coffee shop. I want to come back soon and try more dishes.

I joined a local group of Hero Veterans this morning and I must say I am thrilled with this place. Not only was the food delicious, Maggie herself is a jewel who just appreciates and loves on our Heroes. I highly recommend you stop by, say “hi,” and share your views as well.

We were passing through Bakersfield on our cross-country road trip from East to West, and stayed at Hourglass Hotel, which is only a 4-minute pleasant walk from this cafe. We desperately needed something healthy, and we were not disappointed! I had their Cobb salad and it was big & delicious (and beautiful!). We liked it so much that we came back for breakfast the next morning! You get a hotel discount, so don’t forget to bring your card key, if you are staying in the nearby hotels!

There were quite a few options on the menu so it was hard to make a decision. But I chose the one most breakfasty. It was so good but there was so much food that I actually made two more meals out of it after taking the rest home. I definitely will go back and try other items on the menu.

THE BEST breakfast I've had in recent history! I found Maggie's and what a find! Homemade everything. Delicious heart-stopping biscuit w/sausage gravy, great eggs and THE BEST Country Potatoes with peppers and onions (not really diner style Homefries). Add fresh squeezed OJ from a ZuMex juicer, the same machine used at Black Bear. Also returned for lunch the next day; BLT with an egg! I passed with the optional avocado. A sandwich can only be so big. Absolutely not to be missed.

had their veggie omelette and sides of eggs. the eggs were over easy though we asked for over medium. there were nice about swapping out tomatoes for veggies. the servers were really nice and sweet and prompt. the service of the cafe was quick and prompt. it is also really quick and close to various hotels like holiday inn Hilton etc

One of the best breakfast place to eat on a date or on the road. The plate is big, fills you up and it’s affordable for what you’re getting! I forgot the name I ordered, but it was very good. To my surprise, I wasn’t expecting this many toast of breads. Most breakfast restaurants I’ve been too give me half a slice, but this was a whole sandwich toast lol. Service was great and I had a good time eating here :)) Bonus: on menu, there are some pics to give you an idea what you’re going to eat. I also recommend the $16-17 big breakfast plate.

We got there and waited in the front for over 20 minutes after we were told we were going to get seated and they were clearing a table off a regular came in and they started trying to seat them. We were a table of four and they were a table of three. Once we were seated everybody that came in after us for different tables came in and we served prior to us, and everyone got their food prior to us getting our food And everyone was checked out and left after we had eaten While we were sitting there waiting for our check and we were completely ignored the entire time we were sitting there no refills on water nothing. I highly don’t recommend if you are out of town and not a regular

Stopped for dinner in Bakersfield on our way to San Jose. We enjoyed some pupusas - shrimp for hubby & loroco (squash flower) for me. The chicken tamal was very fluffy and had more of a spongy texture. The plantain empanadas were very rich and creamy
