Mae Mae Café & Plant Shop - Vegan restaurant in Bronx - 2417 Third Ave, USA

I came here during NYC restaurant week. So glad that I found this little gem that's fairly hidden right next to the Macomb bridge. I love the decor and the plant that are perfectly placed all around the Cafe. It's just a very chill, calm vibe. The food is warm, comforting and very healthy. A bit light on the salt but I think that's the whole point of being whole rounded healthy. Definitely recommend and I definitely will return to order food off the regular venue.

I love this place. Have been here twice so far during restaurant week and I’m going to make my return visit. I had the opportunity to meet the owner and she is absolutely pleasant and very much open to feedback. The chef and 2 other staff members were a delight to talk to. Food is very flavorful and I like that they switch up the menu. I wish they had better dessert options is why I gave a 4 star rating. I’ve been here 3 times and the new menu additions are A++. I ordered ALL of the sides along with the harvest salad, the vegan hot chocolate, and a new addition to the pastries. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. Looking forward to going back next month. I missed the free plant offer this year. That was a nice touch during the previous restaurant week. The food is so tasty. Love the atmosphere of this place. Did not take pics of the food because I was so quick to try it all, but I had the Mushroom Mole and Veg soup, and it was so good!

Mae Mae is my absolute favorite and I make sure to stop by every time I’m in the area. Food is delicious (I’m not even vegan) and reasonable and the people who work there are fantastic!

Food and Service were great! They have Connect 4 and Jenga at some of the tables so it’s great for dates! Would definitely come here again

Heard about this place from a friend and had to see this vegan spot in Port Morris, down in the South Bronx. Happy to say my first reaction coming into this was mind blown! It's filled with bright colors from funky cool paintings and their gorgeous plants. (If you're plant lover, you'll feel right at home) Their Latin cuisine inspired vegan menu was also very delicious. I recommend their Ital stew, mushroom burrito, and black raspberry drink. It's also a quiet place to do some work. Their staff are friendly, smart and funny. "If you want meat, you can leaf." LOL.

Service is Fantastic and the food is great! They also donated to Grassroots Grocery to feed the homeless Ethan is the best!!!

Mae Mae Café and Plant Shop cares about creating a sustainable community in my neighborhood. For example they fight food waste. At the end of the day, instead of completely throwing away good food, they give it away at an affordable price for us community members.
