Madden's On Gull Lake - Resort hotel in Brainerd - 11266 Pine Beach Peninsula, USA

Restaurant service was wonderful. Rooms were dated. Issues with the shower not draining. Dirty underwear found under the bed when we arrived. Beds were not very comfortable. The resort is really spread out. We were happy we brought both the truck with the boat, as well as a separate car. The car came in handy for moving around the resort. Resort has family friendly events like Bingo as well as quite a few pools to choose from. The game room for kids was not air conditioned and very dated. We decided to stay at Maddens because of the inflatables on the lake for the kids to play on. That part was definitely fun. Boat slips were few and far between and they have overnight docks only in a marshy weedy area which does not work well for a jet boat. We ended up only using the boat one day because the boat launch was being repaired. We had to drive to the other side of the lake to get on and off. Overall, the stay was just okay for the price.

Madden's Resort is a memory making machine. The staff treats us like family and my kids feel like they are in a good old fashioned movie where cell phones don't exist, people have there head up to give you a friendly wave and every day feels like a brand new adventure. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked very well. I rented a pontoon and took the kids went tubing. Marina staff was excellent. I golfed Pine Beach East 3 times and had a blast. Tee off after 6 and you have the course to yourself. I even saw three BEARS! Kidding, but I did birdie the Par 6 6th each day! Multiple places to eat including The Mission where walleye is always "the choice". Check in and Check out was a breeze. We rented a golf cart to cruise around the resort. My 13 year old got pulled over as you need to be 18:) It's experiences like that makes you wish you were a kid again pushing the limits and smiling until you fall asleep. We go to Madden's a couple times a year. I sincerely hope my kids choose to visit this place forever.

Our groups experience at Madden's was incredible!! From the beautiful golf courses to the Spa experiences, the fabulous Marina activities. Everything was the best!! All of dining experiences were incredible with great food and excellent service! We will for sure be back in the future!

Madden's provides outstanding customer service. The food is amazing! The rooms are large and comfortable. We golfed, went pontooning, played pickle ball and had a bon fire. This was a great weekend!

I love the original Madden Inn. Albeit, the rooms are in need of a complete renovation. Mission Point Restaurant was excellent. Spa is small. Gym is basic, functional. Property is amazing. Highly caters to golfers and families.

Spacious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, and tons and tons of activity options are what this resort is all about. In addition the food was delicious at their restaurant outlets. I'm already missing my coconut latte from the coffee shop!! It is a sprawling resort, so make sure you bring your walking shoes. Several beaches are available for swimming plus lots of water toys on the water. It is a very clean property as well. The only thing to beware about is the Canadian goose population that inhabit some of the resort. They are not the friendliest critters and it is good to keep your distance.

Our family recently had a gathering at Madden’s Resort and we had a fantastic gathering. Family members were able to use recreational activities, golf, lounge at the beach and pools, and we all enjoyed a great dinner at Mission Point. Our accommodations were great and all of the staff were very professional and focused on meeting or exceeding customer expectations. This was our fourth family gathering at Madden’s Resort and it won’t be our last. Our gathering ended with family members saying when are we coming back.

First time staying at Madden's...was up there for a conference. My room was large and quiet (Golf Villa Suite/1st floor). Little dated, but not bad. Resort is easy to walk around and all of the staff I encountered were very friendly. The patio outside of the main lodge is really nice. Food at Fairways was ok. Golfed at the Classic, highly recommend.
