Great staff service. I was desperately looking for a bridesmaids dress to wear. I was directed to an area that was celebrating a VIP SALE. I found a dress but it was a size too small size L
Staff went to check if the dress was available to be shipped to me in XL. I just received it in the mail. Thank you for going the extra step. I am so grateful and happy. I will definitely refer my friends and family to Macy's.
Got followed around the entire time. Went into the fitting room, and had employees talking to me through the door like I was a thief. Had a different employee literally follow me down the aisles of the shoe section. Crazy how I was the only one followed around and was simultaneously the only black person in the store, to the point where even my friends were uncomfortable. Thankfully you guys are closing down soon, do better, all of you. Let’s leave our preconceived notions of entire groups of people in the past :)
Went to get a Aloha shirt kinda pricey but needed one. Anyways, I was offered 20% off with no purchase by answering a few questions, the disturbing part was I was asked not only my birth date but also if I own my home and my social security number and annual income I had a bad feeling but did it anyways moreover I did not get the discount cause they needed other info that I would be asked later in a email. Very uncomfortable feeling went in the store with good feeling left really disappointed cause the lady never even seem like she cared. Well, my advice to anyone that shops at macys be smarter than I if you don't want to feel uncomfortable by shopping at a local store, I shouldn't have bought the shirt could've found a nice shirt and paid less without having ill feelings towards the lady and the store. Praise God for another situation like this one. The lady's name was ellie
It is a fine store. I have nothing against this particular Macy's or any other Macy's. Fact is, I rarely shop here. When I have shopped here, service was fine, the store was clean, there wad adequate pwrking which made for easy access to the store.
My first thought entering was, 'wow, this is the smallest Macy's I've ever seen.' Which wasn't a big deal by any means, everything is a little smaller on the island. But then it struck me that there were no men's clothes... or housewares. So we asked about that since it seemed a little odd, and it turns out there is a second Macy's in the mall!!! No lie, I'll post a picture. Anyway, long story short, got a great deal on some housewares. Thanks Macy's!
Well, today, an employee at the Macy's in Hilo Hi at the Prince Kuhio walked up to my wife and was very rude to her because of the way she was dressed. This employee profiled my wife because she was dressed down today because we were not planning on going shopping but decided last minute to stop in. The employee demanded that my wife give her the merchandise that she was carrying around the store and told her that she had to pay at a certain counter and was not allowed to walk around with things. The whole time that I had everything in my hands, not 1 person, even gave me a second look but the minute I gave it to my wife, and she walked to the jewelry section to buy a very expensive ring and pay for everything else since we can't take the ring to another counter. We'll hear her feeling we're hurt badly and walk out the store in tears. Our total would have come to around $2000,00 for Christmas gifts inst3d the made no money from us and lost 2 very loyal customers. I hope that the employee was happy with herself.
It's the only mainland store that we have that has a wide selection of everything you could possibly want in a department store. Their last act clothing is like pain. Full price for the clothes now so it's not even worth looking at last act. The prices have gone up so significantly. It's hard to shop at Macy's now because I can no longer afford it. Living on an island is extremely expensive and I just go to the mainland and buy my stuff and ship it back home.
A friend of ours found a few dress shirts and was pleased with his purchase.
