Definitely a beautiful area with a beautiful waterfall. Moderate loop trail from all trails app and also a parking lot.

This place is amazing, honestly it's a nice lil hike to the falls from the parking so be ready. If you're in the area check it out!

Parking was nice. There were lots of trees down on the trails with signs posted that there would be storm clean up soon. It didn't stop the dog and I from getting to those beautiful falls. Just be aware of your surroundings and enjoy that beauty. Took us 7 mins to get from trailhead to falls. Go!

Great scenic hike with an awesome waterfall. Certain parts can be steep and slippery because of the water so make sure you wear good shoes. Moderate in difficulty but it’s a great hike.

Machine Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Tennessee. Parking at the trailhead is sparse (15-20 spaces). Go during a weekday or off peak times. The trail is shaded, which is nice on a hot day. The most direct trail to the falls is about 1/2 mile. The last bit of the trail 100-150 ft down into the gorge is very steep. There are steps and stones. Walking sticks would be a big help. The hike was warm, but the temp dropped 10-15 degrees once in the gorge. The water is clear and cold. The last 100ft or so to the falls is wading through the stream, so wear sturdy sandals or shoes you can get wet. Walking sticks would be a big help wading the stream to the falls too. Dogs on a leash are allowed.

Nice walk, stairs going down were steep and medium level of difficulty. My knees hurt really bad by the time I got to the bottom due to arthritis but I soaked in the cold water for about 10 minutes and had no pain for several hours. Waterfalls are beautiful!
