Every time I visit Havre de Grace I stop here. The outdoor seating is lovely, the offer live music and the food is good. I ordered a crab cake, what else would you order in Maryland? It was delicious. The lemon drop martini was good as well. The bar area is really nice too if you want to watch a game.

I want to be able to give this experience more stars but I cannot. The one shining star of this place is how nice the staff is. I have very limited mobility and use a walker and they didn’t flinch when I asked for a specific seat. For anyone who has been in the restaurant you know they have seats on many levels and it could be a real challenge for those of us with limited mobility. While I am on that subject the bathroom is very challenging. It was too small for me to take my walker in. Luckily I had my cane too so I could use that. On the same note…the parking is a real challenge for those of us with mobility issues, there is one handicap spot outside the door and of course it was taken. There isn’t much they can do about the parking with the location but people should be aware of it. The one area where this place really lost stars is the food. I ordered French onion soup which was super salty. It’s ashame because I detected a very good flavor under all of that salt. I also ordered the Cowboy Burger. First thing is my platter was clearly sitting out because my fries were soggy and the burger was barely warm. That aside the bun was literally old. The burger was also over cooked. My husband ordered the Cream of Crab soup. Again it was salty yet had decent flavor. It also had very large pieces of crab. He also ordered the chicken and waffles. The blueberry waffle and syrup was very good. The chicken was stringy and there was not enough maple syrup. I give detailed feedback because this place could easily be a five star rated restaurant. The people who work there are great, they just need to help the cook. I also like their menu. Finally, anywhere you are in the restaurant you have a great view.

To say our experience was a disappointment is an understatement. Being local, the expectation of HDG is set high, as it should be. The simple fact MacGregor's is one restaurant away from being on the water gives them an advantage. One I feel they have taken for granted. Both the quality and service is lackluster. A- if you are under staffed, both in the kitchen and with servers, don't seat at max capacity. I understand first Friday can bring in a crowd, but this was by far awful all around.. B- if a server forgets food in the kitchen for 40+ minutes but says to the whole table "sorry the kitchen lost the ticket, do you still want your order" ?!? Umm.. yes, we have been here over an hour at this point. Then he comes back within 3 minutes saying "bus boy "found" your food".. then hands out an ice cold steak, burgers (including a childs), which tasted like spoiled goats meat- the most disgusting burger I ever tasted!, and coleslaw that was as warm as the 90° outdoor temp along with the most pathetic looking salad I have ever seen for its price.. I am a person that loves food, all different levels- food truck, casual dining, fine dining to questionable dives. Unfortunately this place continues to disappoint with the thought it can keep coasting by on its name/location. I would post better pictures had the quality been up to par.

Just had dinner here. We waited 45 minutes and watched two tables leave because no one greeted them or got them drinks. We placed an order and everything came at once: salad, egg rolls, and entry. The server seemed to not know what she was doing. No manager was around to manage this chaotic show unfolding. The food: Salad: arrived without dressing. We ordered Italian and when it arrived we were informed that's not an option. Philly egg rolls: needed a sauce to make them not dry. Chicken and waffles: chicken breading was burnt. Very little sauce. Undercooked waffle. Burger: cold and dry, lifeless patty without a seasoning to be found.

Stopped in with friends for the first time this past Saturday evening, and were seated right away. Ordered a couple of cocktails, and both were made wrong. The cream of crab soup was nothing but a watery cream with so little crab meat that we actually took turns looking for any semblance of crab. The brussels sprouts were good. We all ordered cheeseburgers medium, but the waitress said they only cook the burgers well done. I asked why, and she didn't know. The burgers arrived dry and overcooked, topped with greasy strips of bacon and dry onion straws. I saw that this place has been around for a long time, but judging by our experience, it won't be for very much longer.

My husband and I went up to MacGregors for a lunch this week. We decided on the smash burger and a Turkey rachel. The food was so yummy yummy. My husband said it was one of the best burgers he’s ever had! The view was absolutely incredible and our server was very kind and helped us with the menu and choosing the right seat for the best view! We had a great time and enjoyed the restaurant so very much!

First time visiting and overall unimpressed with mainly the food. Some things were okay at best. My highlight was the soup which I really enjoyed but could have used a tad more Old Bay. The chicken wings were rubbery and somehow didn't taste like chicken 😅. We were unsure how to describe what they tasted like, but the only way they were enjoyable was with ranch. We also ordered some fried crab mac and cheese balls but they were not fried at all. The outside was crumbling and flaky, almost like a powder. If you picked it up it would all fall apart.

Looove this restaurant. It is one of my faves with the atmosphere, the amazing MD food, the fellow locals, little displays and arts of the town and the staff esp the waitress Kelli.🥰🥰 Thank you guys!

This is a perfect location if you like wide open green fields with a wide, asphalt walking track. It has quite a bit of convenient parking. It seems popular with people walking their dogs.
