This hotel is lovely. The rooms are very nice and updated and have very comfortable beds, pillows and bedding. It is a quiet location and provides a nice sleeping atmosphere. The hotel has a lovely new pool and spa as well to enjoy. We loved The Porch coffee bar in the mornings for coffee and a quick snack. The community seems to enjoy it as well as you will see regulars there having a coffee each morning. The food is just okay in the restaurant and bar and really needs to be upgraded.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The manager, Michael Joseph, was incredibly helpful. He made us feel truly welcome and was attentive throughout our visit. I must commend his exceptional customer service, along with the hospitality of the valet team - they left a lasting impression. Michael took the time to greet us daily and suggested fantastic local spots to explore. All his recommendations were spot-on! This hotel is truly exceptional, and it's the staff that sets it apart from other 4 and 5-star establishments.
This is a special place. We had a truly wonderful time and could not have been more comfortable and taken care of. The building and grounds are just perfect. Elegant luxury but understated and classic. Everything was clean and refreshed with a historic feel but newly updated with freshness. We had cocktails and oysters at the bar, sparkling wine upon arrival, delicious lattes in the mornings, and lunch by the pool - all delicious. The service was excellent. ||||I was traveling with my daughter and her fiancé and we all enjoyed a spa day as well. We were pampered. The “kids” had a couples massage. We were given directions downtown for one of the nights and there was a street festival that we enjoyed. Dinner at the girl and the fig. ||||I can’t recommend this place more.
We had an incredible stay at MacArthur Place in Sonoma, and it was made even better by how welcoming they were to our dog! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we all felt at home, including our furry friend. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for a relaxing stroll. The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making it a great retreat after a day of exploring Sonoma. MacArthur Place truly knows how to create a luxurious and accommodating experience for both guests and their pets. We can't wait to return!
MacArthur place was a beautiful, relaxing hotel and the perfect stay for us during our wedding week! The staff were accommodating, nice and friendly. Shoutout to Erica at the front desk who refrigerated my wedding cake for me! The rooms were spotless and beds were so comfortable. The vibe there is quiet/cozy luxury. We stayed in the magnolia cottage with the outdoor shower which was so lovely! The white rose bushes outside our porch were gorgeous. The food at Layla was also delicious. The service was great. The overall amenities were amazing, we loved the spa and had the best couples massage there. It’s also walking distance to downtown but the valet makes it easy to park and get your car if you want. They even charged my Tesla for me overnight and were so fast bringing our cars. Couldn’t recommend more!!
It pains me to write this review as the grounds are beautiful and the staff was A+. However, if you like getting a good night sleep this hotel isn’t for you. You are better off booking The Lodge or The Auberge. At this price point you expect the bed would be like sleeping on a cloud. The reality, bed was very old, hard as rock, caving in…basically like sleeping on a bag of rocks. Linens were scratchy and pillows have seen better days. So if you value sleep, look elsewhere.
MacArthur Place is in the heart of Sonoma. Minutes from the Sonoma Square. I'd highly recommend staying here. Staff is well trained & friendly. Rooms are lovely and comfortable. The property is absolutely exquisite!
If you’re looking for a luxurious, peaceful, romantic getaway…look elsewhere. While the property and rooms are perfection, the staff (from check in, valet, restaurant, pool service) are pretty cold and overall seem miserable) then add constantly barking dogs in the rooms and screaming toddlers at the pool. Could have spent far less and stayed at a budget hotel. A shame because property is very pretty. Overall, great hotel for wealthy families and no one else.
I cannot begin to describe how wonderful it was staying at Sonoma Bungalows. I went to Napa/Sonoma to celebrate my birthday in September and my bestie came along, we had the best girls trip! We stayed in the studio unit and it was perfect for us. Loc
First time there and we really enjoyed it. Wonderful and homey rooms/suites. Outdoor areas are very inviting. Very close and convenient to the Square. Marcie was an excellent host!
The Donum Estate is a 200-acre winery located in between Sonoma and Napa Counties. A top-notch producer of Pinot Noir with one of the largest private sculpture collection in the world. Well worth visiting.
The BEST overall experience. Touring the vineyard, tasting the grapes, excellent wines, and the views. Ivan was a terrific host. We will definitely be back again.
Come for the coffee, stay for the good vibes! The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating and you can tell they enjoy their work environment. The drive thru moves fast and if you want to stay a while, there are tables outside.
As someone from New York, I have a high standard when it comes to bagels and I have to say Homegrown Bagels impressed me with their lox special on everything bagel. Itâs not quite a NY bagel but pretty darn good and the best Iâve had in Californi
Another great evening at Cafe La Haye; this time for my daughter's birthday. It is so nice to see the familiar faces of the staff and folks that seem to be locals.
All of the specials sounded tempting, as did the menu items. I had the ahi tuna tarta
Elisa is such a great hostess! Our group rented three rooms this past week, and none of us had any complaints, because we totally enjoyed it! this location is just incredible, and the town of Sonoma is so charming. You are scheduled half of a block o
Do yourself a favor and stop here if you are in the area or driving through Sonoma. The food and drinks are fantastic! The pozole rojo and pozole verde were delicious â not something you can find in many places! I highly recommend any cocktail with
