What hit me the most with Macado’s was the price. It was very affordable and the food was great! I can understand why the local college kids like to go here. The parking was a little tight and tricky but manageable. The entrance is to the side between two buildings. Was handicap accessible. Nicely signed so you can know where to go to see the host for a table in one of two areas. There is a bar side and dining side in two separate buildings. We sat at the bar side, not drinking and the atmosphere was still pleasant. Not loud! The food was outstanding and tasted of elevated home cooking. The macaroni salad had the best flavor in an appropriate portion, barely be able to finish but you had to size. The sandwiches were on fresh breading; tortilla, croissant, or bun. Everything was fresh including the lettuce which I’m finding harder to come by at restaurants. The service was friendly and quick. Never had to wait long for anything.
The brew selection was good. The food was delish, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The vintage decor mixed modern stardom was a hit. The waitress was friendly and attentive, which made for an enjoyable lunch experience. There was not a wait, so I was seated right away. The meal was fast. I had the sandwich called Dr. Watson. Very fresh ingredients on a hit bagel. The restaurant is also vegetarian friendly.
The food was very good. Because we were in a hurry we all ordered some kind of hamburger. The food arrived fairly quickly. We had several small toddlers with us who were throwing food everywhere. Even though we cleaned up after ourselves we appreciated the tolerance of our waiter.
1. Told it would be a 15 min. wait by the hostess. But there were clean tables in areas that had ample serving staff. 3. Table was still wet. Did not know till seated and blouse got wet. Asked hostess for table to be dried. She never came back or asked the server. 4. Was given a paper cup instead of glass. No clean glasses or utensils (1:00 pm?) 5. Food was good and waitress deserve 4 stars. Everything else 3, hostess 1.
Good food. Not many vegan options but the waiter was nice and helped me find something. I enjoyed the environment with the walls covered in pictures and signed guitars.
Go eat anywhere else! This location is awful! Food quality & service are non-existent. This is based off of several recent trips at this location. I Macado's and really enjoy it at all locations aside from the Farmville location. Parking is horrible & very limited. This location actually has two buildings, with a small patio area with a fire pit in between. You have to present to the main dining room and then they decide where to seat you. We stopped in last night (11/2) for dinner. Three adults and one child. When we went inside the door, there was a female with long blonde hair and a bright pink hoodie just inside the kitchen. She was portioning out ketchup into small cups. She turned and looked at us and said she would be right with us before she finished filling up the ketchup cups. She then came out and looked around the restaurant and then said that the main dining room was closed, and asked if we would mind sitting in the bar section. We arrived slightly after 8 PM; they are open until 11 PM. We walked over to the second building and it was a sea of dirty tables, that hadn't been pre-bussed or anything. Thankfully we waited outside in the cold by the small fire pit for them to clean the table. Once seated, there was a long wait before we were greeted by the bartender to get our drink order. There was no cocktail server waiting on tables. There was a middle aged woman in a blue shirt that was aimlessly going around doing some cleaning but not actually doing much. The bartender has to tend the bar, and the tables so the table service suffers. We finally get drinks and place order for appetizers. The appetizers actually made it to the table before she came back around to take the dinner order. If you've ever been to this location, you know it takes forever to get apps to the table. We got he salsa con queso ($10). It is a cheese queso dip with salsa in it. It was served with mainly cheese, and only a few floating specs of tomato. It normally comes in a round croc like bowl, and it was sent out in a shallow soup bowl. It was clear that it was microwaved in this bowl as there was a dry crust ring around the edge. We also ordered boneless wings as that was the daily special (0.39 each). The menu says that the wings are served with ranch or blue cheese, yet we were charged 0.75 for them. We ordered the kids meal cheese pizza and this did come out before the other food and that was nice. It was not the normal kids pizza. It was a tortilla wrap with sauce and cheese. IF they were out why not just say so instead of trying to make a hodge-podge creation. Our main meal consisted of more wings, the Chicken Cordon Boo, and the Titanic. The wings and chicken sandwich came out together and it was another 15 minutes before the Titanic came out. The menu says that the Titanic is served with au jus, yet I was charged for it. None of the other locations do this. We ordered a ranch bowl, and its just that, a bowl of ranch. They have good ranch, and it is a charge for this. Understandable. I still want the sauces that the menu says comes with my meals, and don't expect to be charged for them. Drinks are single serving unless you convert to tea or water and get up to get your own refill. If you need to go boxes, I hope you can scope out the stand to get them or you'll be carting what slop your taking with you in your pocket. The sandwich meat was tough, and dry. The lettuce was wilted. Fries came out cold. The fruit looked like it had been frozen and thawed out with that clear/glossy look to it. I suppose if your a college kid just looking to get drunk, this would be a good destination. For all others, avoid it like the plague. Just to be clear, I have had several experiences like this recently. I get that things happen, and people have bad days, but this is a pattern for this location. I've worked in the service industry previously and you can just tell when things aren't right. The other Macado's locations are going strong with no issues like this. Most of the photos posted are stock. Likely my last visit to this location.
These folks need to train their hostess in approachability and friendliness. When I approached I was asked in a surly voice “are you picking up or dining in?” She grabbed a menu and with attitude dripping off of her, she walked to a table, dropped the menu, and walked away without another word. If this had been my first time here, I probably would’ve walked away. However, we enjoy the food and the drinks here, and the rest of the staff was quite friendly and helpful.
I'm glad we got there when we did, because by the time we left at 12:45ish there was a 30+ minute wait. the service is so incredibly slow! It took us forever to get our drinks and food. The margaritas were delicious. The sandwiches were delicous, but were poorly constructed. The chef didn't take the time to open up the meat so it was piled on the bun and spilling over when the waitress brought it. Yummy and huge, but messy. The quesadilla was burned on the outside. Overall, service was not good, but food was good.
I have been a couple of times now! The first time was on opening day and the food was just as incredible then, as it is today! They have delicious salsa flights which (pictured) are a peanut, mango/fruit and an avocado salsa. They are all so deliciou

The phone eats lastâ¦Amazing, tasty, and overall one of the best mint chocolate chip gelatos I have ever had. Really love the white chocolate in it. It really makes it so flavorful.
It was a very nice trail, very easy to walk, and plenty of shade, easy parking avaliable. Also, bike/stroller friendly. I recomend to visit if you ever go to Farmville.
We stopped here for lunch around 2:00pm on Thursday. Food, service and atmosphere were great!! I am a French fry chick, and the fries were perfect. We decided to eat outdoors because the weather was nice!! Just a few flies trying to join us. ð Lot
Any poor review on here is just mad that the owners have a trump flag⦠personally Iâm a liberal, but Jeff and the rest of the staff are so friendly and wholesome I canât imagine judging them solely based on which way they vote. People are so ig
Lots of space in the rooms. Staff pleasant. Hotel was clean and neat Deborah the hostess was useful in directions and friendly. I wish other hostesses at other locations were as welcoming and spoke to visitors. Will stay here next time we need it in
Went for my moms birthday and everything was great! We are repeat visitors and this is definitely a great spot!! Fresh sushi, cheese wontons are amazinggg and the sauces they give you for everything to dip are delicious!
Great place and atmosphere with beautiful architecture from a very antique tobacco warehouse. Food was great and the service as well. They have a big selection of wine, beer and cocktails and the hot crab dip amazing.
