Mac Wood's Dune Rides - Tourist attraction in Mears - 629 N 18th Ave, USA

I loved this dune ride! I've never been on one before but it was a great experience. Our driver was funny, knowledgeable, just a great person to have as the guide. The Dunes were beautiful. The actual truck used was made so you can see a 360 view of everything. Excellent experience.

We had such a great time. This was my 7 year old nephews 1st experience and he got to sit up front and "co-pilot", our driver also let him sit in the driver's seat when we were parked. He loved it so much. You can tell this business cares alot about the people and having a good experience. Our tour guide was so much fun and informative and gave us directions to our next stop to the lighthouse which was great. Can't beat the views ❤❤❤ Would def. recommend to family and friends. We waited about 30 minutes for our ride but my nephew loved playing on the pirate ship while we waited so it wasn't bad at all

We made the roughly 1 hour drive up from Grand Rapids and it was definitely worth it. We had 2 adults and 3 kids, ages 3-8, and everyone had fun. It was a Wednesday and we arrived at about 11:45. We were quoted 45-60 minute wait time and it ended up being about 75 minutes. They have a pirate ship that the kids had fun playing on, tons of places to sit, and a great gift shop. The ride itself was great and lasts about 40 minutes, including a stop at the lake to dip your toes on the water. Thomas was our driver and he had a great sense of humor and engaged the group nicely. I suggest giving a tip to the driver, chances are they'll earn it.

We arrived just after opening at 9:30am on Saturday, and there was a huge line out the door. The staff worked so fast to get everyone through, rides went out fast, and my family only waited about 15 minutes for our ride after our ticket purchase. Our driver was so funny, had so many great things to tell our group, and made the trip so much fun for everyone. There is a large step getting in, and people were willing to help my grandmother get in and out, but it would be difficult for someone with mobility issues, likely not impossible though. There is a 10ish minute time to get out and take pictures at Lake Michigan, which is really nice. The drivers also stop quite a bit to stop, take pictures, and talk about the dunes. Very informative, and a lot of fun!!

Mac Wood’s Dune Rides was a great attraction at Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Have done this twice once when I was younger child and recently last summer took my family and my daughter got to enjoy the ride and swim in Lake Michigan.

Really enjoyed our driver Chuck. It was a nice ride for our two kids, who are 3.5 and 2. Nothing too wild and crazy so if you're a thrill seeker, this probably doesn't fit the bill. I would say it's at least worth doing it once.

We had a great time! The cost seemed reasonable, our driver was hilarious and knowledgeable. We went on a Friday afternoon and there was maybe a 10 minute wait before our car was loaded. You get great views of the dunes, lake Michigan and Silver Lake. Definitely a good experience for families! Not a thrill seeking dune ride but there were a couple steep drops.

Mac Wood’s Dune rides were great. I love that all ages are accommodated. We went to a different dune ride last year and they had age restrictions. That’s hard if you are a family with littles. Jake, our driver was hilarious. The price was appropriate and the facility was clean! We loved the little Noah’s Arc playground we played on while we waited.
