M MOTEL - Motel in El Monte - 10024 Valley Blvd, USA

This is really too bad. This motel was affordable and had a decent rating. Took a chance on it. After checking in and taking a look around the place we decided we had chosen a decent place. Exterior looked well kept and recent renovations. However when we entered our room we were disappointed. The floors felt like you were going to fall through then, we saw three cockroaches, the curtains didn’t cover the window enough to keep the outside lights out of our room. Our neighbors had their doors wide open with music blaring. They all hung outside on the railing partying all night. Called reception several times but no answer. Super trashy. Will not return. Do not recommend

The hotel is average size, I stayed in a room that accommodated 4 of us comfortably. There is enough storage space for belongings, and enough space to move around. Hotel included 1 small fridge, a table, working AC and heater, a TV, and 2 queen beds. The room was clean, but it smelled so much like smoke and it was supposed to be smoke free. The bathroom was was clean but needs major work. The shower handle was broken and we had to play around with it to make it work, it was hard to adjust the water temperature or even turn it off and on, the bathtub was also super slippery and so was the floor after showers. The hotel provides multiple towels in different sizes, but not enough for a group of 4, also the towels were not big enough for adults. We had a 3 night stay and every day beds were done and toilet paper was restocked but floors were not vacuumed. The facility itself is old and kind of dirty in the outside and inside. There is enough parking but if you arrive too late you might find it somewhat far from your room. The location is close to various Mexican food places, and 6 minutes away from an In-n-out. Overall, the hotel is very cheap and comfortable enough to sleep, but needs repairs.

Normally I don't leave reviews but I felt compelled to. We booked our stay here several weeks ago, never stayed the night. If our room had looked anything like the pics posted by others, we might have stayed the night. The condition of the room was complemented by the attitude of the staff; blunt/rude and is covered by bullet proof glass in the office. I let those things go until my wife and I got to the room. The good thing about it? A 60" TV, not sure if it worked, but that was about it. The mattresses under the sheets were visibly filthy, no towels in the bathroom, and the shower curtain looked like it was pulled out of a garbage dump and crumpled, it was too short to even fit the shower. We didn't feel comfortable sitting anywhere in the room, first time for us. To top that off, the door barely locked, I was able to open it while locked. When we checked out, both guys behind the front desk weren't surprised at all that we left. They offered to switch rooms, but at that point we were done... If others had great experiences, good for them. Whether it was an off day or the norm here, management needs a weekly walk through pronto.

I had meant to book the Motel 6 in South El Monte but I made a big mistake and mistook this place for Motel 6 online zi hit the book button and realized after arriving I booked the wrong place. No refunds and it clearly states it after I booked it and drove there. I couldn't believe my mistake. The reviews are 100 per cent on this place. Armed security that were dressed like swat standing around while druggies and drunk people are hanging all on the property. I felt like I shouldn't even stay here but I didn't want to lose 70.00 for nothing. It was a horror movie inside my room. I did wrap myself in my sleeping bag so not to touch anything. I barely slept and left early. Never again it's garbage everywhere and car parts as well as broken screens doors don't lock properly someone asked me for money not safe at all. Do yourself a favor double check before booking here motel 6 is wayyyyyyyyyyy cleaner and safe. For 10 to 15 more dollars. Your life is worth more than that. Very scary place. Sorry. Staff was prominent and seemed to be working on improvements but safety with doors and windows need addressing for sure and wipe the mess of the walls looked like a crime scene inside.

Newly refurbished, clean, and a pleasant environment overall. This place is under new management. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have stayed at this establishment 4 to 5 times overnight and no problems. Very quiet and tranquil. A year ago I wouldn't have stepped a foot in this place. There was to much unsavory activity going on. And frequent police interventions. There were prostitutes & drug dealers up front loitering & solicitations. It was also a gangster's paradise. To each it's own. I am just giving my truthful review. And I am glad the new owners cleaned up the place very nicely. There will always be a mix of everything everywhere you go. But what matters is that you feel safe, the place is clean and you are treated with respect and given great hospitality. After all you are a guest.

The price is really good for what it is. It's pretty clean. The rooms are small but good enough. There's a $5 room key deposit. Shower curtains. I guess small towel. No hair dryer. Packets of basic amenities (shampoo/conditioner). Pretty loud at night because of traffic and upstairs.

Stopped here for a couple nights during a road trip. It definitely served its purpose but if passing through again we would look elsewhere. We stayed two nights and there was no cleaning service. The shower temperature would fluctuate every few seconds making it impossible to shower comfortably, and they will require a cash deposit for the key?!? Our room was on the bottom floor and we were kept up constantly with people coming in and out of other rooms, chatting outside our widow, and fighting in the rooms. You really get what you pay for here.

This place has a good price if your Asian, if you want to get a freaky night and don’t mind the bedbugs. When I complaint about the bed bugs and the noise from fights on the property I was band . I got a text from the office to never be back to the property. And when I asked why the person in the office said because I said so.
