M Hotel Buffalo - Hotel in Buffalo - 2040 Walden Ave, USA

This hotel and experience was terrible. First, the hotel was dirty. My “clean” folded towel had lipstick stains on it. Then I had hair in my sheets. I also had pillows that were lumpy and awful, I had to get 3 extra pillows to stack them all up on each other. The staff was also useless. Not one staff member was helpful or seemed to care. I asked for someone to come check my fridge as it wasn’t working and they said sure. Two hours later I asked when that person was coming and they said they couldn’t make it. Why didn’t someone tell me? I sat around and waited for them! At breakfast, my little one loved to go sit in the continental breakfast. She thinks it’s fun. But we are plant based and they had no options for us. So we bring dairy free milk and cereal and blueberries to all hotel breakfast areas and sit and eat with everyone else. Staff wouldn’t let us sit at our own individual table to eat our own food. I asked where their plant based options are and they had NONE. Just awful all around. Luckily my little one had a blast because of the pool and thinks it was a fun trip. But I’ll never return and I’ll be sure to spread the word to never stay here.

We’re from out of state and stayed here because we had planned a trip to see the falls and stuff today - so the location is a plus - roughly 30 minutes from the falls. It’s also located by a shopping center and a ton of restaurants! We paid $209 for one night here (probably due to the holiday weekend) The pool is large with a pretty cool scenic view around it, but it’s really cold. I don’t believe there’s a heater or if there is one, it’s not working. The elevators look rundown with pieces of the wall missing. The PILLOWS are horrible and there’s only 3 on the bed. I’ve seen a bunch of comments about these after having my own experience last night and honestly they’re all true. It’s like sleeping on a pillowcase full of feathers, not comfortable at all. I haven’t had any bad experiences with the staff and I don’t plan on getting breakfast here after reading a couple reviews about their bad experiences. So I have no comments about those. While the location is great, I don’t think I’d stay here again, not worth the price.

Room was hot, never cooled off. Service was great, brought us a fan and were helpful throughout. There was a used pad in the pool area. Our stuff came back smelling like smoke. There was mold coming out of the ventilation system straight Sheetrock on the bottom of the wall in the hallway. The location was great. We paid $200 a night for a hotel that should have been $79 or less. Do not recommend, believe the poor reviews. The staff are trying their best, but the hotel needs major renovations and updates.

Positive: Lobby was nice, our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool courtyard filled with lots of live plants. The pool was quite nice. Negative: It was just a little shabby in spots. When we requested extra towels we were told to come to the front desk to get them, and then they could only provide 3, as opposed to the 4 we requested. No pool deck towels were available.

My Family traveled here (2 adults, 2 children) because of the pool pictures we saw, the location, and the free breakfast. First off, the good - the staff was very friendly and accommodating, when it wasn't related to the breakfast. The rooms were nice, we had a second floor pool side room and the small balcony we had was nice. The bad - the staff is VERY stingy when it comes to the free breakfast. You have to have a ticket to receive it and you cannot take any food back to your room. They have people checking these things at the door. NOT like we wanted to take anything back to the room as the food was really disgusting. My 3 & 5 year old took one bite of sausage and wouldn't touch it, the eggs were so oily, and the manager was breathing down people's necks looking to see what we were grabbing to eat. Behind the night side table there was a thick layer of dust along with some exposed wire and an empty pepsi bottle. The tub was also not very clean. I understand being busy with a sold out hotel but the rooms need cleaned better The pool temp was cold (probably about 65-70 degrees) and cloudy. There was hair all around the pool just sitting in clumps. We loved the staff, they were very kind to us, but we will not be back.

The only word that comes to mind is Swanky... And I loved it! The staff was amazing. The pool area was clean and beautiful with all the plants and trees. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool and it was awesome. Location is wonderful, quick access to anywhere you want to go in the Buffalo area. We will definitely stay here for future visits.

I made a reservation at this hotel. Very bad experience. The front desk person was not very informative. Could not understand what he was talking about. The room itself was in a great location, hence, the one star. But the bedding was just poor. My family could not sleep because the pillow was rough, and the bed was hard. Moreover, the washroom tub did not drain properly, water was stuck. This hotel is earning money so why don't they keep it comfy so that people can enjoy their stay.

I stayed in the hotel from July 15, 2024 to July 23, 2024. The costs are way too high for the condition of the rooms. I was promised a newly renovated room. I don't want to know what the rooms that haven't yet been renovated look like. The furniture is run down and the new paint is peeling off again. The cleaning of the room was inadequate, the last guest's body hair was still in the shower tray. The WiFi is too bad and too slow to work. The breakfast is the same every day, no variety and the staff is not courteous and not friendly. Not again.
