I’ve been here twice for movies and both times have had such an amazing experience! The lines are a bit long to get in, but once you’re in it’s a pretty straight shot to the theater. We spent $5 even in cash on a ticket each and then about $10 for 2 drinks and a large popcorn bucket. The movie was shown quickly with minimal commercials. One thing I will say is that the demographic for late night movies (I’ve only been to those) are usually a bunch of college kids. There will be some talking/jokes made during movies but it’s all in good fun. Overall would come again and great price for a night out!
The Lyric is a wonderful theater that not only shows movies but serves as a community venue for national and regional musicians, storytellers, and lecturers. It's been beautifully restored and sells popcorn and other refreshments. Tthere's not a bad (or far away) seat in the house and the acoustics will please you. Just saw Molly Tuttle and AJ Lee and Blue Summit. Have previously seen Richard Thompson, Judy Collins, Shawn Colvin, and Margo Price.
Classic and Fresh, historic centerpiece of the 16 Blocks. Great acoustics, fresh and retro movies, dinner and a downtown show, a drink and dessert talking about it is the true timeless good things of life.
Much improvement on the old days when I ratted in 1962-63. The only movie in 30 miles and we could not go out of town nor see TV in the cadet quad only in Davidson Chemistry office where we saw the announcements of Pres. Kennedy's death. I see the prominent WW I dead memorial seems to be gone from the lobby. It is much cleaner and brighter before it was so dark and dim lights they never turned off. Poor rats could not go out of town so when girl friends came to town it was the only place to go - no motels in 35 miles. So they sat with their girls to catcalls from the other cadets. Really awful movies then not a single one I can recall but it was either duckpin bowling (I see is now gone) in the student union or the Lyric. Memories of the NOT SO GOOD OLD DAYS!
My sweetie’s and my go-to date spot. Every Monday that there is a new movie, we go, and since it’s free popcorn night, we can both see a movie, get sodas and popcorn for $22 total, and enjoy it in a historical part of our hometown.
Charming local theater brimming with history. We saw Ma Rainy's Black Bottom and thoroughly enjoyed the auditory+visual experience. Very well-distanced, masks were kept on the whole time. There were only two other couples in the whole theatre so definitely make reservations/give it some support!
Great old restored theater; shows excellent films, has concerts and has a bar!
Great theater, small town theater with great vibes, cheap tickets, good popcorn! Watched ad Astra and north face mountain festival here, looking forward to more cool showings here! Friendly staff as well
Very nice field, spacious seating, lawn seats along left field line, covered table seating along right field line, chair back seating wrapping around from 1st to 3rd
Dr Jordan is my family doctor for 20 years+. She is very thorough and takes her time. We think she and her staff are exceptional and are so glad to have such amazing medical care. She has literally saved the life of my husband over the last couple o
Great time. Had a lot of different things to throw for all skill levels. Great instructions from Daymon. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good time
No atmosphere or facilities better in the state of Virginia for a college football game. Lots of parking around the stadium but reserved for boosters and whatnot for tailgating on game days. Several gates to enter and have installed metal detectors
We came for the cheese fries, we stayed for the burgers ððð After spending 4 hours up and down Dragon's Tooth, this place was the Perfect spot. I had the avocado ð¥ Chipotle burger. The avo was fresh and even the bun was well prepared.
Fun little stop while in the VA tech area. Attic and basement are not accessible to public so you get 2 floors. First floor has time period furnishings. Second floor is mostly workspace for board members but they were holding different history work
Boy do I miss this farmer's market! I used to come every Saturday when I lived in Blacksburg, and loved all the products vendors were selling there. It is such a nice market, and even the much bigger ones I have near me now will never compare!
Exceeded expectations! The location is great - right by the campus; and restaurants & Kroger within walking distance. Parking lot & entrance were well-lit and felt safe. The staff was genuinely nice. Inside, everything was clean and updated. The room
Have gone to Sugar Magnolia plenty of times for their ice cream. It is also sooo GOOD! Went this last time to the gift shop. Always loved looking in there. Had just what I was looking for as a birthday gift for my husband. Only downside is I had my b
Very nice place. Picturesque golf course is challenging but not overly difficult. Restaurant has nice options and the goat cheese hamburger was excellent!
