Luna Sands Resort - Campground in Orange City - 1440 E Minnesota Ave, USA

This community is fantastic! They treat you like family here! The house above the office is where we stayed, and it was spotless clean! They gave us more time to check out! They accepted our pet. They even offered a free spaghetti dinner but we were busy that evening. The pool was sparkling clean. This place is the best it can possibly be! They are clean professional and kind! You will not find a more caring office manager than at Luna Sands! We will definitely come back in the future! Also they have an amazing jaccuzzi tub for two in the house that we enjoyed immensely.

This was our first time staying here. First off, considering that we came in on a very hectic day. The staff was considerably personal friendly and doing everything they can in the situation that I had occurred. The morning of their new sites are absolutely wonderful. Really enjoyed the full concrete pavement. I enjoyed the trees that were still left Time they have some umbrellas in the pool area for shade. The people in the office were very excellent. They were very friendly and caring about everything and they made our visit great that we definitely will be returning.

This rv campground is no resort. It is a older rv park with 80% of the people full time tenants. We got there in our 40 foot fifth wheel and was taken to our site by the maintenance person. The spaces for the larger rigs are an after thought for this aging trailer park, there are about 6 spaces added as an after thought. This park is NOT big rig friendly. The spaces are tight and we were told to swing wide to get into our space and the rear of our coach hit a tree. We were stuck with our rig wedged onto this tree. Could not go forward or we would damage further and could not go back or tear off the rain spout and scrape the rig further. Someone showed up who is a semi truck driver and tried to help us. It took forever for him to help us move our rig inch by inch so we could get the rv off the tree. It was tedious. The office staff was no help. I could not believe these sites they were trying to sell as big rig friendly. Yes, we are seasoned travelers and know how to back and drive our rig. We were not able to park our truck with our 5th wheel, the site was too small and had to park it across from the site in a washed out section. The laundry facilities are outside, yes outside and under a carport type building. Everything was dirty and I could not fold my clothes on the tables. When we left it was nightmare to try to miss all the trees. We didn't miss them all and a low branch scraped the top of our coach, about a 5 foot long tear in our roof. Please if you are a big rig find another place to go!! The pictures are very misleading.

The lady at the front desk was great. But it went down hill after that. They do a back round checks. I work security jobs all over the country. I've never been looked down upon. Until now🤣 I was told my back round came back negative for some BS that happen 40 years ago. Wow! Talking about some holier-than-thou MFs🤣|I was told Friday morning after I paid, got my papers along with gate codes. That I had a Not good back round check. No reason why. I had to do some digging to find the truth. It sure didn't come from the resort. So if your traveling and you have a past history that is not holier-than- thou righteous, and most important 🤣White🤣 Don't stop! Save yourself the BS.|I'm just being straight up with you. They definitely will not be so inclined.|I have traveled all over this great country. An seen some things. I have to say 98% of people and places have been awesomely great. But it's crap like luna sands resort that saddens the moment for other great adventures. But I will not let low life trash like that get me down🤣 Now on to the next adventure...|Note: several families own this pit. I found quite a few much better spots all over DeLand area, once I asked around about how I was turned away from luna sands.|I must say, if you want quite, great views, and fishing. Check out the St. John's River Marina & RV Resort. There is a lot more bang for the buck. With No BS...

This place is absolutely great! The grounds manager was incredibly helpful, when we first moved in they assisted us in parking our RV in a perfect position. The front desk manager has answered all of my questions and made the process seamless! The maintenance worker went above and beyond by helping my boyfriend take care of the leaves and everything that he raked up when we moved in. Safe to say the whole team is on top of their game. All of the neighbors are kind and welcoming. Excited to be here long term!!!

amazing resort to stay at. workers are super polite, and helpful. pool is great temperature, and playground for kids is so nice! dog park, and trail is so nice. permanent residents, and temporary so you get a great mix of both! weekly activities available, such as bingo, food, dancing, etc. full for the whole family! would definitely recommend coming!

This is an RV Resort. The staff is friendly, and the community watches out for one another. Great place to stay or live.

Was there for 3 and 1/2 weeks. We have a class A motorhome and was parked in a row that should not be for class A's. We had to unhook our car and dolly in order to get our RV in this site. We had slideout that we had to make sure wouldn't hit the trees. We were parked right across from the waste facility but the staff did give us a discount due to this when we complained of the smell. Several permanent residents in the park. Some not real friendly. One gentleman with 2 huskies came into the dog park while I was there with my doberman and one of his dogs ran and jumped on my dog. My dog submitted to the husky but when the hair came up on the huskies back I took my dog and left. I just felt like some of the permanent residents was trying to intemadat me. The pool wasn't clean and the dog stations was over flowing. Dog park has a lot of roots sticking up out of the ground. I actually tripped and fell over one. Laundry was nice and clean and office staff very friendly. I think the park needs better signage for site location. We arrived after office closed and had trouble finding our site. Also lighting in park at night not good.
