Lucky's Roadside Stand - Takeout restaurant in Philadelphia - 5154 Ridge Ave, USA

The burgers here were very good. Enjoyed the customization I was able to do for my hamburger. I love their tangy garlic aioli. My husband really enjoyed his pickle-laden burger. To add: we first went to the stand alone Luckys and there was a one hour wait! So we changed gears. They sell this real tasty butter pecan soda in the coolers in the front, and giant pizzas. Order at the counter and eat in, OR take it to go.

This place is the best! First and foremost, the food is amazing, but the team working here is above 5 stars! The manager Steve was so friendly, and went above and beyond when i was having issues ordering online. Love this place, and grateful for such a wonderful neighborhood business. Keep it coming! 💯 %

We came for a quick bite here before a movie and we will definitely be back. We got a free slice of pizza that was outstanding. The hot dogs were good and the burgers were excellent. Absolutely get the onion strings and the tots! The staff was super nice to boot which is always a nice bonus.

It was okay. An odd interior with biscuit lady. I walked in, hoping to get a breakfast sandwich, but the biscuit lady was sold out so I was curious what the sandwich shop had to offer. They didn’t have much of a way of breakfast sandwiches so I got the closest thing which was their egg sandwich with pastrami. The service was quick but the sandwich taste was just OK/meh. The taste of salt overwhelmed the sandwich, and the egg was a weird texture of fluffiness, but still pretty greasy. I don’t think I would order again/I could only stomach about half the sandwich before I called it quits. Coffee was reasonably price for the biscuit lady as it matched how it taste. I’m pretty sure the sandwiches at the shop taste better than what I had but I don’t think $15 with tax is worth the price of this “breakfast sandwich”.

Usually I am a fan of luckys even though their food can be hit or miss. We ordered 2 burgers and fries and after waiting inside for 10+ minutes after getting the text that the food was ready the staff informed me that the burger I ordered was not supposed to be on the menu so they did not make it and refunded me. The cashier told me she tried to call me and let me know but another employee admitted she had never actually called me. No one apologized but they did offer to let me wait for them to make a different burger as the rest of the food gets cold.

Do not eat here, you will get sick. My husband ordered a regular cheeseburger for delivery. He had violent food poisoning overnight and into the morning, for more than 12 hours after consuming the burger. We’ve filed a food safety complaint through the app he ordered from. I called Luckys directly today but was put on hold for over 10 minutes before hanging up.

Let me preface this by saying I LOVE lucky's. I brought my family from out of town here to try their crazy burger combos. As It has been my go to place for a long time. I ordered 3 Pb&J burgers, 1 Pickle monster, and 1 roadside fry. I got my order, drove back into the city, only to realize my order was all messed up. 2 of the PB&J burgers didn't have Jelly..so they were just peanut butter burgers *Not good*. 1 of the burgers was completely missing. The fries were even the wrong kind. So, the meal was a complete disappointment. I would love to change my review, as I do love this place. They have great food. But this experience was expensive and very disappointing.

I love the cheesesteak, onion strings and fries. My family loves the hot dogs and fries. We all love the people that work there!
