Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que - Barbecue restaurant in Tustin - 2550 Park Ave, USA

I had not been here in a few years but I was looking for a restaurant that could accommodate a big birthday dinner during the holidays. I was pleasantly surprised on how well the food was and how great the staff was. Everyone that worked there greeted you and smiled. The whole vibe was positive and welcoming. I had the beef ribs and they were excellent. Another table favorite was the Salmon.

Positive: Take out ordering is easy and timely. Staff is attentive. Meat is bland, but at least you get a decent portion. Negative: The braised greens are inedible- so incredibly sour it is almost as if the food has spoiled. Had split the greens 4 ways and no one in our party could eat it. Mashed potatoes were gummy and also tasted off. Only ordered take out for here because we had a gift card. If we had dined in we would have sent the sides back instantly and been angry to spend so much on such sub par food.

I had the fried green tomatoes appetizer with the pico and jalapeños on the side, but the meal was still spicy, however. If you like spicy, you’ll probably enjoy this dish. (without the jalapeños and pico, it wasn’t too spicy, but still too spicy for me) The pork with burnt ends atop the fried green tomatoes were so tender and tasty, but I think that’s where the additional spice was coming from. I also had the biscuits with apple butter, and they were really yummy! I could have made a meal out of them! My boyfriend had the pulled pork sandwich and fries, and he liked them very much. We dine here quite often, and it has always been a yummy dining experience! There’s also outside dining and you can eat at the bar, as well.

A wonderful American experience. 🔴 I do not eat pork or pork ribs, and my experience with beef is okay. I think the beef experience is okay, but the ribs are not thick meat and there is no strong interest in that, but in general the sauce was excellent

Stopped here on final night while in town for business. We arrived at about 5:30PM. For a Wednesday, we were surprised there was no wait. Since the advertisement said real Texas BBQ, we decided to give it a try being in SoCal. Each of us tried a flight of Burbons. I tried the Kentucky flight since there was two I had not tried and knew I enjoyed Buffalo Trace, and Woodford is a good middle of the road bourbon. I was disappointed with the pour size. I didn't expect a large pour, but nothing was equal to the pour beside. Maybe a 1/2oz on the Basil's? I didn't bother complaining for a couple of reasons. Mainly because the waiter dropped the flights, and that was it. We didn't see him again until maybe 20 minutes after someone else brought our food. I tried the Brisket with Greens and Mac&Cheese. I definitely recommended everything. Great flavor, perfect amount of "heat" in the greens. The mac&cheese was very good! Brisket was prepared well! Good food, good options. Only negative was the service.

I can't really find the words to describe their food quality, service, and everything else. My favorite is the back ribs - they are truly delicious 🤤. I highly recommend trying them

Lucille’s is the best place in the world 🌎 for BBQ. The beef ribs and the briscuit are a great compination. The atmosphere, the decorations, and the service are great. We were lucky to have Nation as our attendant. He was very knowledgeable and polite. On our second visit, we were taken care off by Sophie. She's really sweet and extremely courteous.

It's Michael's birthday special event , ordering was hard lots of mouth watering food I ended up getting grits and shrimp dish side of Mac n cheese .The sauce on my shrimp 🍤 dish was so delicious 😋 I wanted the recipe. My wife shared her baby back ribs with me so good pork and sweet bar b que sauce. Everyone was satisfied with their meal. Also would like to mention our waiter was exceptional his attention and friendly attitude topped off our dinner experience.wish I had his name ( Ortiz party )
