Luby's - American restaurant in Dallas - 13455 Midway Rd, USA

-Friendly staff. Marta is very sweet and kind, she is always friendly and attentive. Definitely ask for her next time you visit this place.- The food is okay, not bad but also not the best. Staff fixing your plate are welcoming and friendly, cashier not as friendly as the rest but she isn’t rude either. One thing that kind of disappointed me on my last visit was the fountain drink machine, it has mold where the ice comes out, that means it hasn’t been cleaned/sanitized for a while, that says a lot about their cleaning practices. Imagine the rest of the place where the public doesn’t see.

To be honest that food was super bad terrible and who put pork in the greensbeens and it was a hair on my food bad experience if you ready this trust me thinks twice to go there

When I tell you this food has never ever seen a grain of salt! The most basic, unseasoned, flavorless food I’ve ever had. All of it tastes like box meals.

I haven't been here in quite a while. I ordered the chicken fried steak. It was a bit salty, cream gravy a bit thick, cucumber salad was mushy, mashed potatoes and green beans were good. Prices were high for 2 people we paid over $55. Service was good once we were sat.

I ate baked fish, green beans and cucumber salad. The food was really good. The customer service was excellent. Derrick and John were amazing. I will be back for more great experiences.

I came to Luby’s on Midway today around noon the food and service was great. My issue is with the Restaurant allowing a dog 🐕 to be there, dog hair flies it’s open buffet food and it’s just nasty. As I was sitting at the long booth a lady came and sat her dog right next to me ( it jumped up in the seat) I immediately got up and left. The African American Male waiter ( been there for years) saw this transpiring also…..I know folks have service dog 🐕‍🦺 nevertheless all animals should remain in the floor and in the car if not service animal. If it was a service animal keep it under the table near the owner period. Everybody don’t want dogs at their table I was very offended and this Restaurant should have a policy in place for people with animal and the sanitary aspects and uncomfortable nature of this act. I’m appalled and disappointed. Do better!

A friend and I decided to have a late lunch after being told earlier in the morning that someone special to us transitioned. She was on hospice and we were sad and relieved because..she didn’t have to suffer any longer. We made a choice to go to Luby’s because we believed that we could get some “comfort” food. The person that served my food.. just threw it on the plate. I mentioned to her that presentation is everything.. another worker gave me another serving of what I ordered on another plate. I was grateful. My friend got all vegetables and we proceeded to sit down at a table. I discovered that the food was not hot and a floor server warmed it.. My friend and I tasted our food. It was not palatable at all!! We have been to this Midway location several times. Most recently, we haven’t been satisfied. We believed each time that the food would improve. It was much better several years ago. It is a privilege to go out to eat during this inflationary period.. and disappointing to waste money. Regrettably, I am sure that we have reached our limit.

First time at this Location and the exterior was clean as well as the interior. No Drive-thru available like the one in San Antonio Texas off the 1604 Highway. This is a Cafeteria style Restaurant that serves decent Homestyle Meals kind of like Piccadilly's in College Park Georgia but not as seasoned. No Labels are displayed in front of the Food so you must ask what something is if you don't know. The Meals have gotten extremely expensive since I moved from San Antonio so expect to spend around $17 for one. The Ice Box Lemon Pie would've been great if it didn't taste like some of everything in the Refrigerator if you know what I mean. I so wanted a slice of sweet Potato Pie but they didn't serve it. The Broccoli, Cheese and Rice Casserole was delicious. The Yeast Rolls weren't bad but tasted and looked different from the ones in my opinion in San Antonio. I will dine again though!
