‘Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach - Hotel in Honolulu - 2490 Kalākaua Ave, USA

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel and the level of service! Jazmine was exceptional in checking us in and ensuring we received all of our Amex hotel collection benefits as well as a diamond head/ocean view room with gorgeous views! Our room cleaner was equally exceptional, checking in with us when she caught us leaving our room, and ensuring that we had quality room servicing at all times. The bartenders at Swell were outstanding, Scott made perfect martinis, and I believe it was Nicholas that took care of us multiple evenings - we also had wonderful service from the bartender that served us on Saturday the 13th in the afternoon while we waited for our room to be ready. The Swell wait staff was super friendly and accommodating. The staff at Longboards was always super friendly and attentive to our every need. All in all, it was an outstanding stay!

The hotel is beautiful! The rooms are spacious and have gorgeous views. The location is perfect! But by far the best part is the pool!! The vibe is amazing, the music was great and the staff was 10/10! Plus they bring you chocolate chip cookies everyday at 1:30pm!!!! The pool staff took amazing care of us, beyond our expectations. They are the heart of the Alohalani and I will come back/recommend it again and again because of them!!

First stay at this Hotel. Awesome location and really nice main area with grand entrance, lobby , aquarium etc Rooms were pretty nice but bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Agree with the other comments about thin walls..you can hear TV easily and toilets flushing. Must be a function of the way the refurb was done. Just have to hope you don’t get noisy neighbours. Toilet shower area is about as small as I’ve ever seen in a hotel at this price point but no real issue. The gym facilities are great. Had the buffet breakfast…definitely not a high end offering in terms of the range, just a middle of the road service. Place has a nice relaxed feel. In general the staff were friendly although the girl on the front desk at breakfast was more interested in watching whatever was on her phone.

From the welcome to the goodbye, the Alohilani was incredible! We booked with the Amex Hotel Collection and were welcomed with a Lei. We were on the 24th floor with a partial (mostly) Ocean view. The rooms were clean an comfortable. The Longboard Club that came with the room was fantastic - breakfast buffet everyday and happy hour with snacks every evening. Michah was a great host in the Longboard Club! The pool area was a bit loud for a lunch during the Sunday DJ hours - but most people seemed to be enjoying it. Also, we ate at Momosan, Morimoto's Restaurant in the hotel 3x in 5 days while we were there - very good! WE also went to the ABC store pretty much every day in the lobby. Also, the aquarium was very cool and the live fish feeding was neat. Highly recommend and will be back!

Excellent location and absolutely beautiful property with an even more amazing fish tank in the restaurant and bar right off the lobby. Service is outstanding, staff is friendly, and the property is very clean and well kept. Waikīkī Beach is right across the street. There is also a lots of shopping, restaurants, bars, and much more, all within a few minutes walk of the hotel. The pool and fitness center are very nice as well. In fact, I would say the pool is outstanding if you enjoy swimming laps. The restaurant and bar are outstanding and food and drink prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this property !

Just save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else. 2 years ago I spent almost 2 months in this hotel which was froth with issues. From food issues at the pool to issues with my room... however the management back then was great and rectified my issues and made me feel welcomed and at home while I purchased my home in Honolulu Recently had a friend want to stay here and I recommended it. I reached out to management to make sure his stay went smooth. It seems like they did the opposite. He purchased a $300 package of balloons which went to the wrong room. Before check in they also emailed us saying they would upgrade his room and instead they downgraded his room below what he booked. Given that we emailed weeks in advance and knowing that I was a VIP customer and also a local in Hawaii, you would expect there to be some level of service. Management is completely incompetent and there is no service here whatsoever. I wrote them an email about all this and not even the dignity to give a response. This hotel is an absolute joke. He checked into the Ritz Carlton and what a night and day difference with service and experience. This hotel should be downgraded to a 2 star or sold to new owners who are able to run this hotel the right way.... its a joke for such a great location and potential but the staff needs to be changed.

If you are reviewing, SAVE your money and DO NOT book this hotel. We stayed for 9 nights and booked 3 rooms. No parking included despite having booked 3 separate rooms. You will pay $50 per night for parking, + you will be charged $50 extra per night as a resort fee ($100 extra per night on top of your quoted price) for basic services…. (no meals included either). Bottled water offered on day 1 only, u pay for water after day 1. I will never recommend this hotel based on the front desk staff. The desk staff are disinterested. Completely non attentive. I have travelled all over the world and the service is sub standard. Desk staff just don’t care. Pool and bar staff were good. Perhaps they can take over the training for the front desk. Will prob get the standard mahalo Google response from the management.

The hotel is nice and to my knowledge they recently renovated, however they have carpet in the rooms. To me, this is a no no when at beachy/wet area. The carpet was moist to the point where we constantly had to wear shoes. The bathroom also didn't have a vent or fan to help with condensation, so everything always smelled wet. Due to this I wouldn't return to this hotel but if it's not a big deal for you I say book it.
