Not a big fan of this bridge. It was $11 million over budget, and it is out of place. Ooh, it changes colors, big whoop! The previous Lowry Bridge had way more character in NE Minneapolis. MnDOT and the CI of Minneapolis would have come out ahead financially if they had repaired and restored the previous bridge, built new piers, and made it a historical landmark.
Yes it's a bridge and it does what bridges are meant to do: 1. Get vehicles and pedestrians across the river, and 2. Not collapse. This particular bridge, however, is highly aesthetic and and it's fun to take pictures of it, especially when it's all lit up at night!
Honestly, this is a very peaceful bridge to be on. Usually I am uncomfortable being around water and heights freak me out but I enjoyed being on this bridge. It had some nice views to look at the city.
This bridge was breathtaking for me. It was set on my itinerary months ago for this vacation and I am so happy that I got the opportunity to see it. My pictures do the bridge no justice. I have found better photos online.

I grew up in North.Minneapolis and walked over the rusty green bridge all the time.I moved to Texas and when I came back this beautiful bridge was here it was well overdue. Good job!

A very fun and easy walk over the Mississippi on the edge of downtown. Plenty of space on the bridge for walkers, bikers, strollers, etc. Easily one of the best places to go watch a sunset in Minneapolis.

Awesome place! I have been trying yoga studios around Minneapolis and 612 Jungle is my new favorite. We did the Hip Hop Sculpt class and it was incredible. I also love that they have such an active IG and updated website, it makes it way more comfort
