Went on Feb 2022… it was pretty dry… literally no water fouls.. have seen close to 10 bald eagles.. seen coyotes and some other birds.. otherwise pretty dry.. hope to come back when there enough rain and snow… bald eagles are all on pretty much in one place…

Most of the fields are completely dry (3/22) but there’s water along Eagle Alley and there’s birds if you know where to look. I saw hundreds of Greater-front white geese, Sandhill cranes, Northern pin-tail and many Bald Eagles.

Wonderful place to visit for Bird Watching or to just drive around. We saw Approximately 40--50 Hawks in just a few miles. There is all kinds of Wildlife to see. Also Restrooms and Viewing Areas.

In spring, you can't beat the amount of wildlife. Year round its still an austere beauty. Greatly under used, no crowd I've ever seen.
