Lovers Point Inn - Featured Reviews (680)
The room was very basic, but clean and our view from the third floor of Monterey Bay and Lover's Point Park was stunning. It was obvious that they were in the process of renovating the exterior of the property with fresh paint and what looked like new doors, but getting to the office and the rooms required stepping up a couple of steep steps from the parking area, so not very handicapped accessible, unless I overlooked a ramp. Did like the glass elevator so you could take in the view going up.
This is the perfect hotel for a weekend get away with the family! Just a 2 minute walk to the most gorgeous beach! The view from the 3rd floor is pretty and you can't beat the location. It's an older property but the king room is very spacious! Very friendly and welcoming staff!
From all of the reviews I read, I was so nervous about booking a stay, but let me just say that if you want to stay at a fancy hotel, this hotel is not it. We booked two nights and got the first level. The room had clean sheet, clean towels, a TV, and a small refrigerator. I was a little upset that it didn't come with a microwave like it had stated, but no big deal. The parking situation does stink. I wish they had more parking. It's so close to the lover's point Park, and we loved that. We will definitely stay again
Recently we stayed at Lover’s Point Inn in Pacific Grove. While it’s not fancy, it’s exceptionally clean and the beds are really comfortable. Besides all that- the views are remarkable! We were looking out over the ocean and cypress trees - absolutely breathtaking! The staff is so friendly and there is good parking. The restaurant across the street was also great with beautiful views. We highly recommend.
This will be our first and last time staying at Lovers Point Inn. The beach was probably the best thing about it, especially in the morning. Before arriving, we tried calling the front desk for at least 35 minutes until someone finally picked up. The room was ok...it wasn't the best. The floor in the corner was wet, there was this weird hole on the floor that you can feel but it was coverd with carpet, no AC, and they used what almost seemed like patio tables for the dining table inside. It wasn't a good experience for us, so we won't be back.
The photo online is absolutely nothing like the motel that it is. We actually passed it and had to drive back because we thought it was the wrong place! It is very rundown on the outside. Room was decent but definitely not worth $279 for one night. The only positive was the view and you can walk to lovers point. The room was renovated in some areas but falling apart in others. TV was on top of the closet, hard to see and terrible reception. I was very disappointed, be at this was a surprise birthday trip for my husband!
This is an older motel in a great location. Stayed here 2 nights. The young gentlemen at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Compared to the price of other hotels/motels in the area, for us this was worth it. Our room was clean. There was a bit of a smell in our room, the pillows were terrible, the bed was comfortable and the tv was blurry.
I wanted to be open minded and like this place.... BUT It's a catfish. They show beautiful photos of a lovely inn. You pull up to a rundown motel. The front desk person was nice. That was the only pleasant part. We didn't end up staying. We used the bathroom and took the loss and checked out. The carpet was horrid, looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in ages, it had holes and was pulling up. There were tiny black specs on the sheets and bedding (I don't even want to think about what they could have been) The bed skirt was atrocious, I don't think it had EVER been washed. There was a blood stain smeared on the top bed cover. When my husband told the gentleman at the front desk that we would be checking out early (about 10 minutes after checking in) he didn't look surprised and was very apologetic.
They should change the name to Nightmares Motel.
Wasn't sure what to expect, so I'm trying to give as detailed of a review as possible so that hopefully whoever sees it has a good idea of what they're paying for.
The rooms were smaller than expected. But if you're intending to be out the whole day
This restaurant was a rather choice in urgency. We arrived quite late in Monterey thus started late on food hunting. We didn't want to drive far so we chose the one with the most guests. We got decent food in big portions at fair prices. If you are n
Great little B&B that is centrally located in Pacific Grove. Walking distance to cannery row, the aquarium and the monarch butterfly sanctuary.
The rooms were clean and everything worked well (for such an old house). We had no problems. There is a ni
A wonderful place to sit and reflect. The crashing waves are always intriguing. There is a path between several benches in the area. A great place to enjoy while on a coastal walk or bike ride.
First time experiencing Maxâs grill and the food was out of this world! Definitely going to be a repeat customer whenever we pass through Pacific Grove/Monterey. Absolutely amazing customer service, beautiful and cozy atmosphere. 10/10 would recomm
Staff was friendly. Room had plenty of space and was remarkably quiet. Enjoyed the gas fireplace. Best part was walking to the beach. Pacific Growth is a cute town and close to everything you would want to see or do in the area. We would stay again.
