LouLous Waterfront Restaurant - Restaurant in Supply - 1045 B-Var Rd SW, USA

Our church ladies retreat came to eat on Saturday November 4th and everything was Amazing. We had 40 women and that’s a lot to serve especially being on a Saturday evening. I ordered the flounder & fried shrimp and it was so good, I’m usually not a coleslaw person but loved it. My friend had the chicken smothered in cheese and bacon she loved it. I couldn’t believe how fast we were served. The staff was so friendly and kept our hush puppies baskets coming nonstop. The restaurant also had cute colorful picnic tables for outside dining. The restaurant was on the water and the sunset was so beautiful!

The atmosphere was great and service was prompt and great.And the Bang Bang Shrimp was awesome and the Whole Flounder meal was spectacular. Will definitely come back and will definitely spread the word ..

A recently ate at this restaurant and had one of the worst meals I've had anywhere in a very long time. It was not inexpensive. I live in the area and had a nice meal there about 8 months ago. But the quality of the food has deteriorated badly. My friend had clam strips that tasted like clam flavored French fries. I ordered shrimp and grits the menu explained as a cajun style and the dish was terrible. The garlic bread I received was a stale hot dog bun that was grilled and then turned upside down so I wouldn't recognize it was a hot dog bun. It was grilled dry, without any butter or garlic oil. The grits were bland and the dish had about 5 small slices grocery store kielbasa sausage instead of andouille as stated in the menu. A spicy oil was drizzled over the top of the grits to add flavor. About 5 small shrimp sprinkled with blackening spices topped the dish. The glass of wine I ordered was the smallest glass I've ever seen. It contained only about 4 oz of wine and clearly was not the standard size of 6 oz to 8 ounces. The drink menu did not disclose the ounces for obvios reasons. I would not recommend this restaurant. The pictures should give a clue into how bad this was.

Came to Lou Lou’s breakfast this past Friday (Oct 13) and what a pleasant surprise!!! We were greeted by the best server, (Melissa) , I have ever encountered. Our breakfast for all 8 of us was wonderful. Every order was correct and delicious. The portions of food was awesome! Never once did we need to ask for refills or anything because we were treated so great by all the employees. Thank you for such a delightful experience. We were visiting for a week at Holden Beach and by far this was the best place for breakfast we found , service was 10 stars. Thank y’all so much for great food but the amazing staff was above and beyond. We ate out every meal and believe me, this place was the BEST! We will be back. Sincerely, Connie from S.C.

My wife and I have dined at Lou Lou’s close to 10 times and sometimes with friends. We sit in the bar most of the time, and will have to say our food has always been very good. We get the fried flounder and shrimp most of the time and I think it the best in the area. We get great service even when they are busy. Amanda 2 treats us like we’re her best customers and the others are great also. Restaurant and bar work is very hard and finding good workers is hard to do. I ate there when it was Betty’s also and I think these guys have done a great job turning this restaurant around. Really fixed the outside up also now have docks for boats! I think I will go Monday again!

Great Breakfast. Anna is the Greatest. Awesome service every time we are there!! Good food at a good price and great service.

Got the steam pot the food was wonderful. Service could have been better. Took a while to get our servers attention to get somethings we needed. They didn’t provide extra napkins for the steam pot which is super messy. Most places provide wipes, napkins and a plate for the shells. Atmosphere was really loud as we had a table that seems pretty intoxicated but yet kept getting drinks. They were loud enough to attract attention from the whole room and saying inappropriate things loud. I felt bad for the family with kids at the table next to them. Seems the servers could have said something or a manager. It was pretty obvious that it was an issue for multiple tables. The food was really good though and the guy who busted our table step up and help get the things we needed so we could leave the restaurant.

We've been visiting Holden Beach since 2015 and had our first dinning experience at Lou Lou's when it was Betty's Waterfront. Since then, Lou Lou's is better than ever and has become one of our favorite places to eat while on vacation at Holden Beach! And this morning we experienced their breakfast and it was FANTASTIC!! The omlet was cooked to perfection, the pancakes were light and fluffy, the home fries were to die for and the Country Fried Steak.....makes you want to slap your mama!! Among the amazing food and atmosphere, the service at Lou Lou's is top notch! Melissa, our server, greeted us with the sweetest personality and hospitality! She informed us that because the food is cooked to order that it may take longer than usual to receive and that once it's plated, it comes straight from the kitchen, hot and delicious! And with the beautiful views and sometimes live music in the evenings, dinner is an amazing experience as well! I can't say enough about Lou Lou's, it should definitely be on your "Places to Eat" when you visit Supply NC and Holden Beach, NC!
