Louie's Coney Island - Hot dog restaurant in Kokomo - 1700 E Hoffer St, USA

Amazing!!! Great quality for a great price. Crispy hot fries and fried pickles. Delicious gyro. And that amazing coney dog!! 😍 You can't go wrong with louies!

The nicest staff I have met in a restaurant. The place was very busy, more than usual I was told. You could tell that the staff was tired. And then the owner came out. She jumped in and helped clear the crowd and became this amazing positive energy for her staff. Mood changed instantly. The staff were energized and ready to take on the rest of the challenges. Complaints, and there were only 2, were addressed quickly and with smiles. Later I found out that many regulars have been coming for over 30 years!!! For a single owner operation without a cooperate logo, that is amazing. Well done everyone.

Terrific vibe in this restaurant. The staff of women running the place are amazing. They must be the most cheerful people in Indiana. I ordered the tenderloin which was good (especially so for $4) but not the best in Indiana. I will definitely be back to try the coneys next time I have to come to Kokomo. It's worth trying just to interact with their staff!

This has become our Saturday morning go to spot. The atmosphere is so calm, happy and just laid back. The ladies are SO sweet, friendly and funny. I truly look forward to my Saturday morning breakfast

Never been here before. New to area. We have a Louies Texas red hotdogs place in NY. This sorta reminds me of it. When I first walked in many of the servers looked and continued working. I stood right in front of counter waiting to see if I would be acknowledged. After about a min a young lady did greet me. I was going to walk out. Beibg that it was not busy at all. When I served or did any customer service first person to see or meet customer is to greet them. That is one thing I wiuld change. People are coming to spend their money at this establishment so they should be promptly greeted. The food was not bad I had the baked and nacho. It was decent pricing. The place was very clean and the bathroom was clean as well. After we were given a server she was very respectful and hospitable. I will definitely return...hope I'm greeted sooner.

Best bakes in town. Have been going here since they first started in the '50s. Excellent pies, best Cocolate cream meringue pie in town. Prices are very reasonable and drive up very efficient. Not the easiet drive up in town to maneuver through though.

This place reminds me of the Puritan Coney Island that was in Lafayette ran by a wonderful Greek family. The Coney sauce is extremely similar I love it.

I feel I need to qualify my five stars on all categories. When you go to Louies, you expect a specialty food. Home run there. I got a baked hamburger and a coney dog. The difference is the baked hamburger is best described as a rolled up hamburger on a hot dog bun. The coney sauce is the magic. Service was outstanding, they actually come to the table and take your order! Atmosphere is perfect for what Louies is. A lunch diner. A bit older but clean, a bit small but cozy. At the height of the lunch crowd, packed and chaotic. That's how you know it's good. Five Stars....drop the mic!
