Had a great stay! We did 4 night at one of the tent sites along the river and it great. Plenty of room for our car, tent set up, fire pit and picnic areas! Water hose at the site and a bathroom with showers close by! Campgrounds as a whole is a really cool location with tones of slots on the river, and store with anything we needed. Will definitely stay again if camping in that area as it’s close to all activities you’d want to do!

This was a beautiful campground. Camping along the river was so relaxing not to mention hours of entertainment for my children. The campground is very well maintained. We loved how wooded it was. They do a great job at working there sites into the landscape. We have already booked next year's stay!

Really enjoyed our time here. I camp about 3-4 times a year and have been to about 15 spots in NH, always tent camping. I don't look for many amenities/never use them (pools, food truck, game rooms, etc), so I typically look for the best spots next to rivers, ponds and quiet spots. Staff was friendly when we arrived, and also the main store had great prices for all their items. The space we chose along the river was very large and clean and even had a water spigot. You could easily fit 3 tents in our area and have space to move around. The bathroom too was always nice and clean whenever we used it. Rules here are the typical "quiet time at 10PM," drive slow within the campgrounds and everyone seemed willing to abide by the rules. Saw staff driving by in go-karts pretty often, and the owner stop by to have a chat with us! Will definitely be back with how quiet and relaxing this camp site is. Location is convenient and low traffic so it's a great place to get away!

My friends and I decided to go with Lost River Valley Campground for our vacation away from the city and I couldn't have been anymore satisfied with this campground. Campground & Location - Lost River Valley Campground is very peaceful we were on site 123 right next to the Walker brook. This site was absolutely perfect for our group. We had plenty of room for our tents, and other supplies. We also loved the sound of the water flowing at night. Site 123 was absolutely relaxing and quiet with the only sounds being the water flowing through the brook. The bathrooms were spotless! The staff definitely make sure they keep their bathrooms in great condition. The campground is also very close to a little town near Loon Mountain which made it very easy for us to go out and grab supplies if needed. Staff- The staff at Lost River Valley Campground are absolutely phenomenal. Our host Lisa goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, and comfortable for our stay. When my group showed up past office hours, and needed assistance she didn't hesitate to come back and meet us to make sure we had everything we needed before heading to our site. She made us feel very welcomed and we really appreciate her and all the staff who assisted us whenever we had questions or needed help during our trip. I am definitely going to return to this campground and I definitely recommend Lost River Valley to anybody looking to go camping by the White Mountains!

The original site was about 20 ft from a major highway. The pictures showed the nice river behind us. Lisa help us moved sites and was quite pleasant. We left our site before our checkout time and went to overflow parking as Lisa suggested so that we could do a hike she recommended. It was 6.5 miles long uphill 1500 feet of vertical and took us 2.5 hours. Great hike but needed a shower. Lisa asked us in no uncertain terms to leave the property “if everyone stayed on the premises we would be overflowed” Up until then I would have recommended this campground. We simply wanted a $0.25 6 minute shower. And leave to our next campground in Maine.

We stayed for 5 nights (Saturday-Thursday) and I'll start by saying the price is fair for the amenities. I read all the past reviews and was weary, but everyone on staff is super friendly and we had zero issues. Not even a hint of any remotely cranky staff members. Camping sites are decently sized and super clean. The staff take pride in their work and it shows. The campground went cricket silent at 10:00 PM, with staff riding around at 10:15-ish. If you are looking to party late into the night, this is not the place. If you have kids that are happy with playing in the water, fishing, bike riding and late bedtimes of 10, it's perfect! Firewood at the store is very fairly priced and burns great! Camping store is fully stocked and markup for convenience is near zero all things considered. Kid's playground is across the street from the campground and a little rundown, but good for what it is. Tennis court is available for use and in good shape. The pond is smaller than it looks in the pictures but is deep enough for use in the warmer weather and stocked with plenty of fish. The only two negatives I saw were the bathroom/shower facilities and laundry. The bathrooms smell awful during the weekend when there were more people and only one shower was working in the main bathroom which lead to some lines. Plus side, no quarters were needed for the shower, water is hot and showers were cleaned multiple times a day. The laundry room has one working washer and one semi-working dryer. There is a notice that it is under renovation though, so hopefully it'll be fixed for next camping season. Finally, I would not recommend purchasing the weather insurance. Even with four of five days raining for well over 4 hours, no coverage/reimbursement was given. They go off forecasted amounts not actual amounts (which were way more then expected). Small wasted amount, but still frustrating.

This campground is spotless, quiet and beautiful. Easy to book, easy to find. The only thing I didn't love was how far away the bathrooms were for tent campers. Also on the trail for the b-18 bomber trail the directions at the capstone are accurate, but Not super detailed. When walking up, it says look for a surveyors ribbon, I passed 3 if them, and I didn't know which one was the right one. It's nit the red white and blue one, or the 2 pink ones after that. Just to clarify after you come to the end of the first part of the snowmobile trail and take a right, keep going for a while, pass the pink ribbons and then you'll find the next turn. Besides that you will absolutely love this campground.

After a 3-night stay, I must admit that I am not particularly eager to return. Positive aspects: - The staff appeared to be friendly, although our interactions were minimal. - The pricing was reasonable. - The campsites were clean. - The campground was generally quiet. Negative aspects: - The 30-amp electrical service at our campsite was not functional; fortunately, we had a 50-amp adapter. - The electrical supply was unstable and experienced several outages during our stay. - There was a lack of clear directions to our campsite, which resulted in us inadvertently taking a hazardous, narrow, and steep road that was not properly marked. - The roads throughout the campground were in need of repair. - The campsites were marked, but they were difficult to locate.
