Wonderful place to take grandkids. Clean, well maintained and lots of equipment.
Annual community carnival was back. Fayette Township employees and all volunteers did an amazing job once again.
Not a fancy park but it hosts the community in a charming way. I've been coming to the park since I was just a little boy. Very inviting for kids and the whole family.
An ancient public park that had seen better days and become quite run down. However the township and local fire department recently put in all new colorful playground equipment thus restoring this old gem to its former glory and once again making it a great place to bring the kids to romp and play in the shade of lofty old trees!
The one thing I truly miss which wasn't replaced is the old merry-go-round (aka SuperSonic Spinner). These death-defying kid-powered wheels were wildly popular with kids from 1 to 92 back in the day. Sadly they are disappearing from a great many of our nation's public playgrounds and recreational parks due to safety concerns and liability issues.
This week was the Fayette Community Carnival here and I waited the crowds out by going the last day and I can tell you i didn't miss much.. Wow this place was once the definite place to take the family for a fun stroll thru the park to catch up with people you hadn't seen In years and enjoy games and good food well it has drastically changed and NOT in a good way... there was trash all over the place and it wasn't at all the Carnival type atmosphere I was ever used to...a HUGE letdown to say the least.. won't be going back!!!
I have been visiting here since I was just a kiddo myself (25+ years) Most of it has changed over the years but in many ways it is the same park. You have all new playground equipment but the same old pavilions. Come down here yearly for a family reunion. It is a nice park to stop by.
Cute little park large new swings two baby swings 2 large play grounds side by side with a smaller baby play ground next to a full court basketball court and tennis court. Little kickball feild out back, rental pavilion also
Went to the community fair here. The park is well maintained and very user friendly
