Los Gatos Garden Inn - Hotel in Los Gatos - 46 E Main St, USA

The room was very reasonably priced. The room was clean. I use the black light like I always do to check for bugs, fluids, etc. the hotel is on the main street. It’s a beautiful area. Plenty of places to eat bike rentals trails and parks nearby. The staff were very nice and very helpful they answered all my questions and help me get into a room after hours.

Los Gatos Garden Inn is our go to place for staying in Los Gatos. It is a wonderful boutique motel located in the heart of Downtown Los Gatos. The motel is vintage (1947) and historic. Adding to its charm, Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio stayed in room 34 during their honeymoon in 1954. The rooms are updated and clean, opening to a splendid central courtyard. The staff is very helpful. We checked in long after the office closed and Melissa made sure we got our key. In the morning, when you check out in the friendly office, you get to grab some snacks to go.

Very pleasant stay. I knew nothing about Los Gatos and only picked the hotel to make an early morning flight out of San Jose. I was surprised how nice the town is and there are a ton of food options within walking distance. The hotel has an old California feel with an open courtyard. My room was not big but completely fine for my needs. Try Sara's Southern Kitchen across the street for a good breakfast. I also liked how the Inn made check-out really easy for me - just leave the key in the room! No headaches when I'm trying to make a flight.

Arrived at 12:30pm after being up and flying overnight, to see if any rooms might be ready early. Sign on the front office said "out to lunch 30 min". Sat on the curb for 45 min until someone arrived to take to sign down. She saw me as she opened the door a crack with "OH, check in is at 3pm" and tried to close the door in my face. I managed to squeak in "could any room possibly be ready, we're exhausted" ... She let us in reluctantly, only to get on the phone with someone and very loudly and obviously complain that yes someone was asking to "check in 2 hours early!" (I've been travelling for decades and this request is always treated with a yes or no, not sure where the attitude was needed). They also wouldn't let us check in without a photo copy of my passport, which felt pretty shady? Turns out there was a room ready, and we promptly fell asleep. During our nap I received several panicked phone calls and an email that they hadn't asked for my credit card at check in and they needed me to "rectify the situation ASAP" We were staying multiple nights so not sure on the panic, but when I checked back in the same woman at the front desk looked at me like I had three heads and said "no you're fine" so I have no idea who was calling me. The rooms are clean but very dated. Beds are the old spring coil with your great aunt Gladys' bed spread. We did have a comfortable stay in the room, it was quiet and the courtyard was lovely. As we have family in Los Gatos we will try another hotel next time after this experience.

We stayed for three nights. While the hotel is older, it is well maintained and clean. The location is great, a very easy walk into town, and very close to the Creek Trail. The free parking is great. They provide coffee and snacks. The price was very reasonable.

This is a really cute, clean and safe inn. Amenities are better than you would expect for a 2-star and the staff were all extremely kind and helpful. The area in Los Gatos is beautiful, safe and walkable. I stayed here for about 5 days in March and would fully recommend it. While you’re here - check out Southern Kitchen across the street, and the Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company down the road.

Perfect location. The lady checking us in was super friendly. However, they failed to tell us they were in the middle of repairs . We had no water. The ceiling had some kind of leak. The room was well lacking. mold on the mini split system, which also was not working well clearly hadn't been maintenanced in a while . the place was not full yet. She chose to place us in the room right next to construction. Looks like pipe burst in room next to use and on the otherside plumbers working in utility room had there tools in front of our room (really no where else for them to work in the small space) should have placed us else where. The pictures on line are not accurate. For the price 142, after tax. I would not stay here again. 1 star for location.

Booked one night as we were traveling through the area. Check in was fast and friendly. Room was very clean and in good repair. The bed was decent and slept quite comfortably. The courtyard area is nice with an inviting sitting area. Walking distance to shopping, cafes and restaurants. Parking is off street in their lot. It's a little tight, no issues with parking early. We returned from a concert late and did manage to find one spot we were able to squeeze into. Would not hesitate to stay again.
