I'm a gym rat, so I loved this place. I can't wait to go back. I like retro, so if you only like modern, this isn't for you. The bed was super comfy too. The top roof... I thought was cool but that is subjective to me. I like looking at city lights. We didn't get to eat or get coffee at the hotel as we had plans and reservations elsewhere. We got one drink which was ok, the bartender was cool and friendly.

Two weeks ago we stayed at LAAC for the second time because we enjoy the hotel! It's a great place to stay if you are in and out all day and need a clean bed in which to sleep. We need a place close to the freeway to access the south bay and west sides so it's perfect. With so many places to eat around there you don't have to drive! We did not experience hidden fees - my advice is READ the print and ASK questions if you are not sure about something that is unclear. Yes, the hotel is a little old and could use updating, but then the price would be so steep we wouldn't be able to stay with a family of four for five nights! We so enjoyed the great workout facilities and being in an athletic family we love the gym and awesome equipment. We feel the people who come to work out there are respectful and they also sanitize the machines too. I needed a place to think in the quiet so I went down to the 3rd floor to enjoy breakfast alone and ordered from the cafe. The staff was always so kind and willing to help - service with a smile is what we always got! The Inventions room had people remotely working and respecting each other's spaces and being quiet. There are water machines that they keep up to date with changing the filters so just bring a hydroflask instead of having to buy plastic bottles. A shout out to Melissa, who was so helpful with our confusing reservations! The parking guy, the cleaners, the front desk all deserve a hand in making our experience one that makes us want to return to LAAC for our next visit!

This hotel is top notch. Like others that have reviewed, the late night front desk employee needs to be more responsive opening the door. We had to wait several minutes for her. Other than that our stay was flawless!

If you are in LA for work and are looking to stay active, look no further than this place. It is a super plush hotel built on top of a wonderful fitness facility. And, I mean WONDERFUL: comprehensive weights and mobility, conditioning equipment, boxing, whole 9 yards of recovery (cold and hot pools/saunas etc), pool. There is also an excellent BJJ place a block away (High Level Jiujitsu). ||Rooms are superbly appointed and there is a very posh co-working space.||Service at the hotel as well as the athletic club are top draw. You will feel like you belong there. Shout out to front desk manager Kai who was extraordinary.

Not impressed! I lived in LA for 6 years and used to be a member of LAAC. Great club with great amenities. Bad hotel! I was so excited to come back and stay here for my trip but I was quickly disappointed. Guest rooms definitely are in need of an update to match the club. The tv in the room for 2024 is a joke, it looks like a computer monitor. The bathroom is bad and needs updating. The room over all needs to be repainted and renovated. The lighting in the room is so dim and cave like, I had to go to the women's locker to do my hair and makeup so I could see. The kicker is we asked for an extra hour for check and the man at the desk said absolutely not that they were full. Let me tell you, they were not full!!!!! The hotel charged luxury price but was not worth the money. One more thing, I was looking forward to using the hot tub in the women's locker room and the whole time were stayed there it was broken!

Great hotel for active guests who enjoy sports and working out. Stayed with family and we used the basketball courts several times. Played half court and full court and just shot around. We used the strength training area which had all the equipment you need. They also had a great locker room/spa facilities which you have access to as a hotel guest. We used the steam room, cold tub and hot tub every day. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Only slight negative is that the location is downtown so quite a few homeless ppl but you should expect that for any big city...

I was working with booking rooms on reservations and found Nicole and Theresa to be professional, helpful, and very patient. I worked a bit more with Nicole, who I found to be exceptionally patient with my indecisiveness, well knowledgeable about the facilities, and very thorough, with regards to the details about planning around my upcoming stay. Nicole could accurately describe the layout of the rooms, and went above and beyond to help me make decisions about which type of room was ideal. I want management to know that working with such professional and pleasant people really makes me much more inclined to stay at this hotel. Wonderful job!

I travel to LA frequently and I have stayed almost everywhere. I did not think I would ever find a hotel that met the needs of a female business traveler. Until I booked my first stay at the LAAC. It is quickly becoming my home away from home. Here is a list of reasons I love the hotel. 1. Secure covered parking is attached to the hotel. Also, it's $25 for overnight parking. (If you're from out of town, please trust me when I say $25 is a steal) 2. The staff is amazing. I am always treated with respect and consideration. Everyone is so kind. 3. The food is incredible. I typically order my dinner or pick it up on the way in. Hotel food can get pricey. The food at LAAC is worth the expense. I would rather skip breakfast than miss the steak and fries. 4. The gym is clean, well equipped, easy to use, and occupied by professionals and families. You are free to use it before or after checkout. 5. The room is very clean and comfortable. The bed comfortable and I can never hear the noisy city from my room. It's the only place I dont need earplugs to sleep. I will say the bathroom is a bit small and outdated. 6. The pool is unreal. It is like something out of a movie. 7. THERE IS A WOMEN'S ONLY SPA!! All of the spa amenities are located inside of the women's lockeroom. It is incredible to come back after a long day of LA traffic and various other types of BS unique to LA, and relax in an area without men. I am grateful to have found a place I feel safe and relaxed when I am in town!
