This park is a hidden gem. It's tucked in the neighborhood and it's a pretty quiet park. I took my kids 8 and 10 and we walked the whole workout course they have. There are two playgrounds. One for bigs and one for littles. Plenty of swings lots of grass to run around and burn off that extra energy. They do have a water fountain and bathrooms.
Next time we will hike the mountain. I also love that the play equipment is covered.
Great little half mile hike. Second half is steeper than the first half. I made to the top in 10 minutes from the parking lot going my fastest. Beautiful 360 view from the top, also plenty of trails circumnavigating the mountain if you’re not into the elevation.
Trail 150 is short with a gradual elevation to 800-1000ft. You can also work your may around 308 for less elevation. As you get closer to the peak, certain angles require you to climb. Overall a nice short hike.
It is a pretty scenic road with a great view once you get up to the top. However once you get up top it is very crowded and hard to get a parking spot. I do love being there at Sunset, very pretty.
Small, dry, and dirty, Lookout Mountain Park isn't much of a park, as parks go. Still, it's popular because there isn't much else around from a park standpoint. The volleyball courts are new with ample lighting and a bunch of imported sand to feel more beach-like. The bathrooms aren't filthy, but nobody could call them "clean." There is some playground equipment, but overall, it is an ugly little dry park whose most notable feature is its proximity to Lookout Mountain.
I live near this park and love it.
Great trail, sort of tough. They had to send 11 people in a drone up to find someone who apparently got hurt. But a nice trail system overall, very clean bathrooms.
Went on a weekday morning in mid-May at sunrise. Only a couple dozen people in mountain preserve. Ran around the perimeter trail. Not marked too well, but pretty much all paths get you around the mountain. Then went up the summit trail. Was the only one atop mountain - a treat for Phoenix mountains. Not as tall, but a good alternative to Camelback or Piestewa.

One of my favorite hikes. Itâs a steep one, but the paved road helps. And if you take trail #44, you get a nice mix of both. Beautiful views all around!
Papago Park was very nice. The hike is short, easy, and has a nice view. It has plenty of parking, a pond for fishing, and a grill. The people were very nice and we had some great laughs taking pictures for them at the hole. Oh it was also very clean

Great place for all the north valley residents to head out for a relaxing walk into the nature with moderate hiking. If you choose to head all the way up to the top of the mountain peak then that would serve as a good hike. Loved the 360 degree view
