Such a fun family place and a great destination for water lovers, friendly staff and a beautiful beach. The restrooms, shower and changing rooms aren't super clean though, which is somehow expected in a swimming area but still it could use a bit more cleaning I believe. Nevertheless, it's been my most favorite place to enjoy the water and relax in the Kansas City area this summer!!
I had the pleasure of visiting Longview Lake Swim Beach during the Labor Day Holiday. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to find that the place was not crowded, there was plenty of room to set up a beach blanket, and the water was enjoyable to swim in. It was nice to see other families around as well and I did not feel alienated due to my race (Black). The lifeguards could have been a little bit more polite- they certainly were not customer friendly (we were not greeted as we arrived and they only talked during the money transaction). The price online was $3 however, upon entering we were told the price was $5. Be prepared and bring snacks, water or juice. Overall, an enjoyable beach area perfect for children, family outings, or couples.
Lots of goose waste on the beach. The restrooms could use a nice cleaning. There are showers and an area to wash off sand from your feet. The sand itself is on par with any 'beach' in the area. Coolers are allowed to bring your own food. Half of the swim area is taken up by inflatables that cost extra, but there is still ample room to swim. It appears there is one life guard on duty at all times. Two volley ball courts. 4 picnic tables and some shade trees if you beat the crowd. $4 per child, $6 per adult.
Fun place to take the family for cheap. They also do movies on the beach during the summer.
Attended a 5K walk/run at Longview Lake Beach. I've lived in Kansas City all my life and this is the first time I've been here. It was very beautiful, quiet, and expansive. There were many different types of trails including gravel and paved trails. If you're looking for a peaceful morning walk or jog then I would suggest this area.
Movie in the park was so worth all the fuss it took to get is there.
The movie projection, room to lounge and time in the sand was enjoyable.
The kids played, ate, and laughed right up to the start of the movie.... after which, the cool waters air got the best of is and forced us home before the movie ended.
Next time we will pack extra clothes AND blankets.
Wish it was cheaper and pet friendly. There is a lot of room though. They play music and have an obstacle course that costs extra. $6 to get in for adults. No alcohol or smoking allowed. Otherwise pretty fun place!
Nice beach with nice view, and clean. Reasonable prices but tease kids with this half block long inflated jungle gym for an extra $20 an hour. They let you bring coolers and snacks. Concessions are reasonable too. Nice weekend stop in the summer.

First of all we love the name! Two Sugars in Kansas City is such a cute name and coffee shop. We loved our latte and conversation with the owner. Iâll definitely be back to try their matcha!
I donât know how I would have made it through my pregnancy without the classes at Full Circle Yoga KC. My older sister also went to Jenny Hellman for two of her pregnancies and when I told her I was having trouble finding good and affordable prenat
I've dropped into the 11:30am class several times. Fantastic community, coaching, and workouts. Clean showers and bathrooms. Ample equipment and parking. Everyone I met was welcoming and interactive. The community has been together for many years and
