The camp host are great ! Very friendly and helpful. Pads are concrete with a few gravel ones, so easy to get level. Campground is gated and has nice shower house and large dumpsters each site has grill, Fire pit and nice picnic table. Play ground for the kids, volleyball net, and tether ball. Golf course right next door. Pets (up to 3 dogs) are welcome. Close to grocery and stores. The only cons it's a 10 min drive to the beach, sites are not on the water and it Costa $8. Per person to use the beach. Also close to B&B theater if you have a rainy day. Back for our 4th stay. Lots of wild life to see as well

Very nice country park. Clean, well spaced campsites. Not on the lake, but it was fun watching the deer run thru the park! Bathroom was clean (flushie) but we didn't avail ourselves of the shower at the main bathhouse. Will definitely stay at one of the three Jackson county campgrounds again.

Nice place to stay while visiting family. Nice places to ride bikes, close to town but didn't go. Our site was gravel and had full hookups. Site86, $38/ night but did get a veteran discount as a refund. Second time to stay. Will go back!

Spent 3 nights mid-week in our 5th wheel. Loved site 79 with it’s shade, cement pad & FHU. It was also a very private site with lots of grass around it. Campground is in a great location to visit KC attractions. We felt the price was a bit high, but we were splurging to be in this location.

Older sites, need more space off of road for camper and parking. Site was mostly loose dirt, needed more gravel or concrete. Picnic table in bad shape. Friendly attendant at gate, but one park ranger was unnecessarily aggressive about contained pets. Playground was a little rusty. Bathhouse nice. Expensive for what it is. No lake access or walking trails at campground. Slip rental and daily use charge for the lake, as well. Will work in a pinch, but far from our first choice.

I called a few days before the July 4th holiday and they managed to find a spot for our new 43 foot 5th wheel, which we really appreciated at last minutes notice. We stayed for 10 days which allowed me time to unpack, organize and test out our new unit. If I needed anything just about any store I wanted was nearby. It was a beautiful spot and there were no issues with family coming by to visit. In fact, they were made to feel welcome. Bathrooms were clean and the grounds well kept. Some of the camp hosts shared rving tips with us when they found out we were new to the rv world. We will definitely not hesitate to book here again.

This is a very beautiful quiet campground with lots of shade trees. It is well maintained and very secure. Plenty of space between sites. We stayed in #68 with a 33' motor home and had plenty of room to leave our tow dolly hooked up. One of the better ones we've stayed at and would return to.

Nice campgrounds. Decent space between spots. Really nice manager. But... We were out cooking breakfast on the fire pit. A city worker drove by on a mower, blew debris all over our food. My dog (small) freaked out and got out of his leash and chased the mower. So the guy called park rangers. By the time they showed up dog was restrained. Really? It is a really nice place to escape from the city.
