LongHorn Steakhouse - Steak house in Decatur - 1213 Point Mallard Pkwy, USA

Best Longhorn Steakhouse experience in a long time! I take clients to LongHorn often as they’re always reliably delicious and high end. Today was the first time I’ve had the white cheddar mushrooms and I will never not order them. They’re amazing. I got the salmon but ordered it blackened and it was the best salmon I’ve had in so long. Truly a great dining experience. Our waitress, Amy, was excellent. She was kind, professional, and welcoming. Kudos to her!

I loved all of the cowboy decor and I loved the lower lighting which is great when you have a migraine like I did the day we ate there for the 1st time. Goodness, the waitress was great. We asked her what she liked & what most people ordered. We found her very nice & she kept our drinks filled and cleared away plates as needed. The food was absolutely delicious & the portion sizes were big. I chose the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with a Sweet Potato & Asparagus. I was only able to eat about half of my meal so I took the other half home to eat the next day.

We typically enjoy our food and experience at Longhorn's Steakhouse. However, tonight was extremely disappointing. It started with waiting over an hour after ordering to receive our food. Two of our five plates eventually came out. One had chicken and fries that were cold, probably due to sitting while waiting on the other food. The steak that came on the other plate was overcooked (was medium well vs rare). The waitress and manager agreed that both plates were not acceptable and sent them back to be remade. The other plates finally came out while we waited on two orders to be remade. The problem with one of those orders was that the sides were not ready, and they had to put them in to go containers because they didn't come out until the end of the meal. The chicken and fries came back out and were delicious, so kudos for correcting that mistake. However, when the steak came back out, it had too much seasoning to even eat (see image). Again, the waitress and manager agreed and even took a picture as well to show the cook. Apparently, there were others having issues with their food tonight, so hopefully this was just a rough night and not indicative of how they normally operate.

The service was amazing, they helped us with everything we needed. The food was delicious, especially the bread and butter!! We went for my grandparents’ anniversary, and they got a birthday sundae to share!

Almost didn't go because the Lady taking the reservations was rude, and told us that the four of us would not be able to get a table vs a booth because they may have more graduation party's come. Luckily my wife calmed me enough to give it a chance before leaving. The lady did get us a table. The food was good, my wife's steak wasn't as done as she had asked, and mine was a bit over done, but still very good. What made the night was our server Nathan. The restaurant was very busy, but he kept up, then another server had a bit of a breakdown, and I think left. Our server had his area (ours), and hers, bounced back and forth, and still did an excellent job. We asked for his name, and thanked him. Will definitely go back, but hopefully not on a graduation night.

I ordered my chopped steak medium well and it was rare. My husband had a NY strip medium rare and it was overcooked and dry. I ate mine because I was very hungry, my husband only ate a part of his. We didn't want to send it back, because who knows what they do to it when you send it back. We paid 60 dollars for this meal. We will stick with Texas Roadhouse, it's cheaper and the cooks know how to cook steak.

Good service, excellent food, consistent quality as well as a nice Colorado lodge style atmosphere .

We sent the asparagus back because they were cold & of course they just heated them in the microwave & we asked to speak to the manager & they didn’t even bother to come speak to us at all
