My wife and I went last night for my birthday, we waited 30 minutes for a table even though there were quite a few tables empty. When we asked about the empty tables, the woman at the podium said there was no one to clean them. Once we we seated the waitress said they had to wait to bring out the silverware and they also served our. drinks in to-go cups. We waited 45 minutes for our entree so we asked for to- go boxes😡 They had staff on duty however the restaurant had trash on the floor and gnats flying around. Longhorn is one of favorite places but the service and atmosphere were awful at this location.
Ordered curbside. 2 outlaw ribeyes medium & medium well(our usual). Received 1 well done but edible. Other burnt, couldn't finish. Went in person next day was told I'd receive gift card via email. Still no gc. $77 for that? So not only is the cooking inadequate but the management as well? No Slidell Longhorn for us again.
They were in the middle of shift change let me start by saying that! So I give a little grace for that. We ate here for lunch and the food was amazing. My wife and I asked ourselves how come we don't eat longhorn more often. So in the future, we will be eating Longhorn more frequently, especially here. The service and wait when we forst arrived due to shift change was loooooooooong . I think we waited 15 minutes until the hostess came to the table took our drinks for the server then the server came back and took our drinks again. But again not their fault. Just bad timing. One thing that was a negative for me was the cleanliness between shifts and he restrooms. But Again the FOOD was AMAZING!
Usually a very nice place to eat for great food and service, but my last visit was not so much. My entree was served before my appetizers because the server forgot to put the order in. She could have been more attentive, like drinks refils, etc. When we were done eating, she just dropped off the bill without asking if we wanted deserts. The shift manager did made things better by comping the appetizers. I would still return and recommend this place
Outstanding for, outstanding waitress. Issue I had in the beginning was that we were there early, they sat us and no one came over for a good while. I saw a girl come in, just arriving, went to back, than out front and I saw her clock in then came over to us. So basically we were seated at a table where there was no one waiting until she got there. At least she apologized for us being seated before she even arrived at work!!! Besides that aspect that the management should correct, the food and the rest of the service was outstanding!
The employees were hanging around, had friends just shown up and not attending to customers. Dirty dishes just sat on the table, no bread or butter or compensation, husband steak had gristle and fat.
By far the absolute worst experience I have had at a restaurant. My mother in law arrived before we did around 7:10 and put our name down. The service was terrible at one point I got tired of waiting and cleared the dirty dishes off of our table myself. I also had to get up and ask someone if I needed to get my own drink from the bar because I had ordered it 20 minutes ago. They were also out of alot of stuff we asked for. My daughter asked for a kids menu and they were also out of those, out of cutlery at the moment. The waiter gave a table of 6 a small loaf of bread and butter but no knife to spread the butter with. We order two appetizers only one came out when I asked about the second one I was told they sold out about 2 hours prior. Mind you it took 45 minutes for the single appetizer. We finally got our side salads by 9:30 by this time we were all tired and aggravated at constantly having to ask for things only to get ignored or forgotten about. The waiter seemed very nice but also very forgetful and distracted. After all of this we had enough and got the manager by 9:50 we were ready to leave STILL no food for my husband's birthday dinner. The manager was very sweet and understanding and even offered a gift card for a latter date but we did not accept. We paid for the drinks and what little food we got (appetizers) and left at 9:55

Wait staff was amazing! Food is usually very consistent! But it is very LOUD in there and last night was no different. So if you want a quiet environment, this isnt the place. But overall its great service. Food is consistent and good.
