The campground was beautiful and very well kept ....close to the beach, sites were large and I totally messed up our reservation and they were kind enough to let us pay and stay the extra day. Bathroom was clean and trash facilities were very convenient. Only reason for the lack of a star is the water is AWFUL....it is well water and stinks so bad you can't even shower in it. We had to put bleach in our holding tank to just stand the smell a little better . Would have been nice to know that in advance.....would have filled our tank at home

Do not drink the water and the no seems are terrible. Everything else about this park is on point. We had a lot of fun. The staff are wonderful. Bathrooms are clean and for the most part up to date. The water is a big turn off. It smells of sulfur and tastes like metal.

Beautiful well maintained campground with electric and water hookups. Very clean bathrooms and showers. The only thing is to fill your water tanks at home because it is well water. We enjoyed every minute and we will be going back!

The camp ground location ideal for family water activities. Ranging from kayaking, padded boarding, to boat craft to fishing to visiting the islands that scattered around. Camp ground is suitable for tents through to the larger RVS. Shade is limited. There are some full hookup sites. However, those do not allow open fires. The camp ground allows for long-term camping up to 3 months which is good for snowbirds, but lousy for locals. The park managers have introduced a new rule where Campers are not allowed to check in before 2pm, so don't arrive early because some staff will tell you to leave the park until that time, and other staff will let you drive around or park in designated areas. Even if you are already camping in the park and changing sites, that same rule applies. Very frustrating when you know your new site has been cleaned and ready for occupation. New Campers are also competing for parking space whilst waiting for 2pm to roll round with day visitors and their trucks and boat trailers. This new rule has upset a lot of seasoned campers who have used the park for years and are not going to go back.

This is our first visit to this campground. Most of the campsites are at the water with a few sites in the middle. Quite a few bathrooms and showers around. There are 2 dump stations available as needed. A boat launch, a designated kayak launch. Large open field in the center along with kids playground. Most of the sites are fairly close together but can accommodate several ways to park depending on the size of your unit. We have already booked again for next year!

Long Point is a Brevard County Park which has negitive issues that may getting you to think twice. It is a spoil island that is extremely low. Many sites flood after a heavy rain. Very soft interior sites which may have mud ruts from RV tires pulling out after days of rain. Their drinking water is from their own well which is treated but monitored by a private company. The water has a strong mineral taste. I couldn't drink it. I didn't see any anti backflow devices at the freshwater supply on the sites. Water supply and electric may not be on the usual side of your unit so bring extra powered cord and hose(s). Noseeums are notorious in South Brevard County so bring repellent. There's a surcharge for the short water front sites you will discover when paying for the reservation. I can not recommend Long Point, Manitee Hammock, or Wickham Park for camping when other counties near by have nicer campgrounds in the same price range. Instead, pay to launch your boat and get away from Long Point Park.

Longpoint Park has long been a favorite of my families. However, the park has fallen under horrible enforcement of rules and policies, making it almost entirely unenjoyable. Some are personal experiences, others observation. 1. Late check-ins are not allowed, despite the reservations stating “check in is from 2-9 pm… anyone needing assistance after office hours please call…” I saw multiple people turned away on Good Friday who were coming in to camp for Easter weekend, despite having their information and site paid for, they were refused entry (not after quiet hours). 2. We had to move sites, we were packed and ready to move at 11 am to our new site, and when I went to let the office know I was switching to the new site (a standard operating procedure in the 70+ campgrounds I have been to over the last 4 years), I was told I needed to park in the overflow and wait until 2 pm for my site to become ready (the previous occupant left at 11 and there was no mess or anything left on the site). It was lost on the worker to understand why someone would want to not waste an entire day waiting for their site to be ready. 3. We checked out on Easter before 11 AM and wanted to paddle board. I asked if it was ok to Diana, who said it was fine to park in the area I pointed out, as those sites are out of service for electrical issues, and it was on the shoulder (note there were other cars, trailers and boats parked there as well). When we returned from paddle boarding I was confronted by the same woman who said it was OK and handed a “courtesy notice” for not DEPARTING the PUBLIC PARK at 11 am, which was checkout time. Not the site, the whole park, which is publicly accessible. These people do not understand the camping lifestyle, how to talk to people or how to even read their own rules as a public park. They believe 11 am checkout means complete departure of the property, and 2 pm check in means you cannot enter the property, which, as I said, is a public park. Even still, hotels allow guests on property to use the facilities before check in and after check out, and they even allow early check ins and late check outs if they can accommodate. All of this being said, the attitude my family received about every little thing during our stay was completely out of the norm for any sort of campground I have been, and contrary to critical thought.

Such a great beach. Noticed they now have an option to pay for parking option rather than the old meter parking. The seashore is tremendous. Lots of room to move, walk, swim. Perfect on a weekday afternoon. Enjoy the wildlife!
