This is a stunning lake that has multiple trails associated with this area. The weather can be unpredictable, so wear the appropriate footwear and pack warm clothes!
This is a really nice hike of moderate difficulty in the Franconia notch region in New Hampshire. The view of the lake is gorgeous once we get inside the valley. It could take about 2-3 hours to do the entire hike and return.
Beautiful scenic lake with views of the Franconia Range. Pretty quick, but steep, hike up to the lake and AMC hut from Lafayette place campground…parking will fill up quick on a nice morning!
This is a great hike. You really don't have to exert yourself too much to be rewarded with a classic mountain panoramic.
With Mt Lafayette overlooking this pristine lake, this 3-mile hike is nothing short of stunning. During fall, the crisp mountain air is rejuvenating and provides you with a landscape of vibrant autumn hues. Suitable for both seasoned hikers and casual explorers, Lonesome Lake will provide you undeniable allure 😀
An easy hike up from the Lafayette place campground takes you to Lonesome lake. The trail is a little tricky to navigate at a couple of spots but other than that it’s easy. Coming back from the lake to the parking spot is easier than going up. You definitely need a bug repellent spray or be ready for an itch filled hike up. The pond area was filled with a lot of people taking a swim. The water was very cold even on a hot day.
Nice lake with great views. Hike was moderate, but not too bad. Swimming was fun, highly recommend.
Another great hike right off Kancamagus Highway. White mountain area is one of the prettiest areas (besides green mountains and wachusett mountain) in northern New England. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Alpine Adventures is definitely a MUST DO when visiting the White Mountain area. The zip lines are thrilling and offer the chance to do something out of the ordinary and bring some excitement to your life. It's not quite as daring as skydiving (which

Beautiful Hotel in the White Mountains. Outdoor pool was heated very nicely. Like bath water. Very refreshing when the outdoor temperature was below freezing. They were working on the new addition to the hotel which should hopefully be done soon. Ve
My wife and I came here with our 3 year old and we were very comfortable on our 4 nights stay. The self checking may seem weird to some but honestly, we had no issue with it. The room is clean. Loved the fact we had a small kitchen with actual cook t
Clean, Safe, Fun. Tables in the cars to bring food (correct me if I'm wrong) or drinks if you want on the ride. The staff was super nice. Playground to play on while waiting to board the train.
We ordered the tom yum noodle soup, chicken rice soup and a stir-fried beef dish. The soups were exceptional, and they were the perfect way to warm up after a chilly day of hiking!
