Lone Star Inn - San Benito - Motel in San Benito - 2340 W Expy 83, USA

I’ve stayed here twice (January 2024 and May 2024) and the second time was worse than the first. It’s an affordable option, but the rooms weren’t very clean: I found a dead spider and dead ant, and a used bottle of male sexual enhancement drugs. It’s just clear the cleaning service didn’t do a thorough job. Probably won’t stay here again. 3 stars because of very friendly staff!

rooms were okay, the room was really hot when we first got in, it took a few hours to cool off . there wasn’t any water pressure for our sink and didn’t seem like there was cold water . there was hair in the bathtub and on one of the towels they gave us . and they do not offer breakfast. online it says around $70 for 2 queen bed but it was actually $116 .

You get what you pay for. No breakfast or coffee as shown/advertised on the site. Rooms are cheap rooms. Don’t expect too much.

Great stay! Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, pool was clean! We had to make last minute changes to our reservation and Sam was so great! He was patient and understanding and helped us out so much. Definitely will stay here again when in the San Benito/Harlingen Area.

Roaches. This is the second time we stayed at this inn to rest for the night just before we cross to Mexico to visit family. It’s not bad but this time around the service was rude and there were roaches. I haven’t written reviews in a very long time and I’m not super tech savvy to find the link to post a picture for proof. It was not a tiny roach, it was one of the big ones and it showed up on the shower curtain as I was showering.

There is NO breakfast served. There is no coffee maker in room. Had a fridge and microwave in room but no place to get food to cook. There was a gas station 2 blocks down busy road with no sidewalk.||Floors were solid. No carpet! Loved that aspect. Room had a ceiling fan. That was nice too.||Bed -0 rating as I felt like it was a camping bed not a hotel bed. The mattress pad held body heat and sheets stuck to you.||Shower served purpose.||King room could use another chair or a table and chair.

Came to the valley for a family emergency. Staff was excellent. They were kind. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Water supply was excellent. I have saved this address on my phone. Will be staying here again in the near future. Also at night outside was quiet.- Juana

Amazing customer service. The rooms were clean and didn't have any kind of odor to them. Love the pumps attached to the wall that minimize on wasting containers of shampoo, body wash, hand soap, and lotion!! We did have issues getting our TV to work, but called the front desk and they immediately came to the room to reset the cable box without hesitation. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we go to the valley!
