Nice, relaxing place to go to. (Most times. Sometimes there is a lot of sketchy activity.) There's a really neat nature trail with plenty of wildlife to see. There are many different picnic areas with very nice views of the lake. Most of it is dog friendly, though I wish more of it was. Many of the family picnic spots are not dog friendly. Still a great walk to take and enjoy the views.
I've been coming here since I was a little kid. Nice park with plenty of shaded picnic areas. Of course, there's the lake and river. Can't forget about the bike/walk trial. Perfect to take morning walks.
Lots of walking space for pets on a leash. ,the pets humans and space for barbeque , pick nick tables , built in BBQ grills . We were there only for a short time . But I will return to fish .
We had a good time . Beach was closed last day was Labor Day. The lake was huge I believe there are 3 lakes , got to see deers, and caught a 🐸. Cost was $5.00.
Very beautiful calm and serene lake. We visited it on the way to lake tahoe for breakfast but felt it was really worth the break.. otherwise we would have missed this beautiful lake.
The main areas of the lake are pretty clean and kept up well. The nature area is okay on the main paths. There are always ducks around, and it is usually pretty easy to spot some deer in the nature trail area. There is a boat launch in the back which i guess is good if you have a boat, canoe, jet skies, or paddle boards. There is a bike repair station in the front, not sure how good it is, never used it. The downsides - All this nice looking water, and you're not allowed to use it unless it's the few hours a year that the beach area is open. Or you have a boat, canoe, jet skies, or paddle boards. Otherwise you're not allowed to swim, to cool off in the water, which is all the more frustrating if you are into cold water immersion or just want to swim in the lake area for exercise or fun. Nope the water is reserved for people who are willing or able to spend money on or are able to transport a boat, canoe, jet skies, or paddle boards. The nature areas are hit and miss but mostly miss. Once you leave the main path. There is trash everywhere, everyone of homeless people in the back easily accessible hidden areas. Lots of empty alcohol containers. On nice days or warm days you will run into lots of drinking, and bud smoking. Not as kid friendly as it used to be. The bathrooms are old, not well lit, and are hit and miss when it comes to cleanliness.
Morning trips here are the best for sunrise times. Not crowded and there is alot of parking. Later on, it is pretty busy. Great place for relaxing kayak trips up the river and watching turtles, ducks and geese. Lots of fish jumping too! Nice, flat hiking trails too.
jasmine loves coming to lodi lake every weekend in the summer... it is so beautiful Here and the water is so refreshing 🥶🥶🥶🥶
Tricia was an excellent host from start to finish. Room was perfectly clean. The home was warm and cozy inside and out. Breakfast was 5 stars. Cant wait to stay again.
