Local Tech - Featured Reviews (391)
So happy I heard about this place! Best Buy tried to charge me $250 to fix my computer; Local Tech fixed it for $79. Really good vibe as well from an honest businessman. 10/10
The Big Box store told me my only solution was to buy a new computer, but LocalTech was able to rescue me. They reinstalled my operating system and all my programs, including an antiquated one.
I have already recommended them to a friend and would do so again.
The price was very fair.
Al the owner of local T e ch went way above and beyond a great customer service. I bought a refurbished probook ,battery not charging. Battery Was okay but something was not working in the computer itself. The owner actually switched out the batteries and the motherboard into another probook. The computer now works great and i'm hoping to get a couple of years out of it. Thank you very much Al. If you maintain your cool, you are polite and respectful. And don't freak out.You will be able to get a lot of cooperation from albert. If you start getting rude obnoxious Sounding like Karen. You will not get anywhere with anyone Albert deserves That respect.
I recently had the pleasure of discovering Local Tech. Albert, the owner, is a good guy. He is incredibly attentive and genuinely loves helping people. It's clear that he and his team are deeply community-minded and dedicated to making a positive impact in Las Cruces, NM.
Albert goes above and beyond to ensure everything is done well, and when it doesn't, will make sure to find a way to see things made right. His passion for Business and his community shines through in every interaction. Local Tech is truly a gem in Las Cruces, and I highly recommend them for all your electronics repair needs. They are a fantastic asset to our community!
Chose them because they're in my 'hood and I wanted to support a fellow small biz. We agree on the fast, "friendly" "service" but were robbed of money we could barely afford. The issue was NOT with my desktop, but the AC power cord at home ... which they no doubt figured out as soon as they plugged it in their shop. My bad for not trying EVERYTHING at home before going (my PC still didn't work even after bringing it home until I tried a new power cord)... but an honest business owner would have only charged us the cost of a replacement power cord. Just like shady mechanics, we're at their mercy and hope Karma does her thing.
We took my little bros prebuilt gaming pc in because it was not connecting to his monitors. We made a huge mistake in trying bestbuy first (where we bought it from originally.) Bestbuy was going to charge 200 bucks JUST to diagnose and then didn’t even have the correct tools to do so. Bestbuy tried to just throw expensive parts at the pc hoping it would solve the issue, according to them they “didn’t have the software or tools to test the pc components”. This local pc shop was extremely helpful and asked all the right questions to try to diagnose the pc, and were up front when the repair came along. Turns out the GPU just needed to be reseated and they only charged me the sales tax on the diag fee. Overall they were great and saved us lots of money, and I am happy obviously not knowing much about pc building they really did not take advantage and helped us out.
I do not understand why there’s so many good reviews. The manager or owner of the shop sold me a laptop fully dead, battery won’t hold a charge, and it was locked by someone else. He sold it to me on Facebook. Then said it was an honest mistake. Selling defective items when you own a business? Not the move. I will never purchase anything from him again. And I will tell everyone I know l to do the same. Not to mention he was rude to me when I was trying to get my money back. 0/5 stars
Rude and disrespectful.

Let's get the facts straight. I called to ask how much you would charge to assess my laptop. I told you I replaced the battery in my laptop, and it is charging and working but not showing up in the UI of my OS. I also mentioned that I have Asurion Home+ but would prefer to avoid paying the $100 deductible and support a local shop instead. Two other local shops had no difficulty providing their prices. Your response was very blunt. You said, "I don't have time for people who try and fix their own stuff and fail. If people want to try and fix stuff on their own, then more power to them, but I don't have time for them." You then continued to insult my education when I tried to explain to you that I'm not a novice. Your patronizing apologies are a further insult. I believe my original review stands true: rude and disrespectful.
Iâve been training here for about 10 months and I feel like I have found a home for me. The team is great to train with and the instructors are helpful even when I feel like Iâm asking questions I should already know. I also bring my 3 year old a
