Unpretentious and delicious! I walked past this place for years and just never had an occasion to stop by and eat. My brother and I made a point of visiting this evening and we are so happy we did. Finally, a restaurant with amazing quality food at a reasonable price and great portions. We made a point of trying a lot of dishes and taking half of everything home to share with the rest of our family. We are definitely coming back.
Our usual Sunday spot has gone downhill, so we tried something new and so happy that we did! The Mixed Grill Platter is huge and with four people we still came home with a good amount (no complaints! more yummy food for us!)
Greek spreads: good appetizer to share with the table. You must drizzle olive oil on their hummus, it made a great difference for us. *says gluten free but the nans that came with werenot gluten free. Halloumi: Great! What a pleasant starter. Loved the pairing of drunken fig and Halloumi cheese. Will definitely order again & recommend to friends. Gemista: great, portion-wise can feel a bit smaller than average. Veggie Papoutsakia: Excellent! I enjoyed the dish so much. It's on the savory side, very filling and comfortable. Will definitely reommend with confidence & order again. Terina: comes in a ramekin-style bowl. It's noticeably on the sour side, i don't know if it's supposed to be that way but for me i would've liked it better with a side of rice or mashed potatoes, something bland. Galaktobouriko: great, warm sweet dessert. Overall a nice place to enjoy a meal. The interior design was very cute, will definitely return to try their other dishes.
Had a great meal here on Saturday night. It was crowded but we were able to walk up and get a table outside. It was a beautiful night and that made it really nice. It was bring your own, so we brought our own wine and beer. We started with the spread appetizer that included hummus and tzatziki among others. It was very good with the pita. We had branzino and swordfish steak kabobs for our entrees. They were both so good. The dessert was also very good. It was Galaktoboureko. Hard to say but delicious to eat.
A wonderful restaurant. Delicious well prepared food. We tried the eggplant, stuffed tomatoes, hummus, fried cheese, beef and rice and lamb chops. Delicious!
We got there super early and the restaurant filled up very quickly. The staff was friendly and professional. We had the appetizer spread which was plenty for four to share. And there was a lot of pita bread. We had village stuff chicken, moussaka, and Greek lamb kafta. Every entree came with a side and salad except moussaka. All were delicious with generous portion. We shared galaktobouresko, which was big enough for four of us to each had a bite.
We've been a couple times and have had a great experience both times. Most recently we were there with a baby and they were very accommodating - gave us a bigger table than our party might otherwise need, etc...to make it easier for everyone. The food has been uniformly excellent and the portions are very generous. The mixed grill would easily serve 4-6 ppl with some salads and appetizers. (That's a -very excited - 99th percentile 9-mos old for scale!)
We had a nice indoor meal at Local Greek on a Sunday night. While the main entry room was crowded (and noisy), the side room we were in was open and quieter. There's also plenty of space outdoors, if you find the inside getting a little too close for COVID. I had a nice eggplant dish called "VEGGIE PAPOUTSAKIA" that was very hearty/heavy and satisfying. It came with a nice side greek salad and some of the best olives I've had in some time. My son went the "meze" (appetizer) route, ordering the "AVGOLEMONO" (lemon chicken/orzo soup) and the dolmades. I'm not a fan of dolmades in general, but my son and wife liked them. We all agreed that the soup was very good, though. The misses had the shrimp souvlaki. She thought it was good, but thinks in hindsight she would have preferred the chicken on the kababs instead of the shrimp. The only thing we had that was truly weak were the "Greek" fries, which were simply steak fries with some crumbled feta on them. It didn't work. The feta doesn't stay on, and our fries should have been hotter and seasoned more heavily. Overall, though, it was a nice meal in a nice location - though not exactly a great value. I'd rate it 3.5 if that were an option, but since it is not, I'm going to go with a 3. Update: Prices are still very high, but I really, really loved the vegetarian Stuffed Peppers I had during this last visit, so the rating gets a bump. However, I should point out that any payments by credit card incur a 3% added fee. It's hard to argue that this place offers a good value, no matter how good the food is.
I photographed my first wedding at UF this year and fell in love with the space! If you're a couple looking for something rustic simple and beautiful, this is it! I loved that the cocktail hour was right outside of the barn with plenty of space for e
The landscape changes every season, but it's always a nice and friendly trail for walking and jogging. The best scenery is apparently in the fall season.
This is actually just the backside of the Johnson lake park. Great park. Saw beavers and a huge snapping turtle. I didn't even know they had beavers in princeton. Surprising lack of ticks, even in tall grass fields
A small gem. The place connects to the DNR Canal hike trail. There was a colonial infantryman show depicting the American Revolutionary War. They had muskets and canon firing. Washington's men marched here, and so it's historical.
If you are a hiker or walker this would be a level 1 to level 2. I personally stepped away from the outside trails due to a delay in the last 2 months. I tried to try an easy trail. With the heat, this hit the spot as the trail is woody and theref
One of the best Asian restaurants in Princeton, hands down. After looking on Google for a good place to eat, we stumbled into this place on a whim. Only after 10 minutes, both of our orders came out and looked exceptional! I got spicy crispy chicken
Presentation and food was a 10 out of 10. Never been here before until today, and it was worth every minute I was here. Adam served, cooked and took my order in the best way possible. Restaurant looks aesthetically pleasing and feels like home, if yo
I walked in initially to get coffee beans as a gift for a friend. I'm a tea enthusiast. I stayed and ordered tea because the baristas were very knowledgeable about their tea selection and methods of preparation. A very pleasant surprise, will have to
