Visiting from Florida we had an amazing dinner at The Live Oak Gastro Pub. The atmosphere was friendly and the servers were kind. Everyone enjoyed their meal the food was excellent from beginning and ending with yumlicious deserts.
We arrived here on a very foggy day after a long Drive on Blue Ridge Pkw the food was amazing and the staff very friendly. This was truly a Gem of a location to grab some tasty local food. The portions were very good in size. We had the Chicken Alfredo and Cuban sandwich.
The Chicken Alfredo was spot on, Chicken tasted very fresh and flavorful, the pasta was well cooked and seasoned.
The Cuban Sandwich was also very tasty, the pork was very flavorful with a nice portion of fresh cooked fries.
Thanks to Karen for taking care of us.
Stopped in for a quick bite with a friend and my pupper. The patio is dog friendly which is really nice, they even brought ma boi some water in true hydro homie fashion. Service was great without being overtly pushy, food was excellent and the vibe outside was nice. When I’m here again I’ll have to check out the inside without the pupper. Will definitely be back when in that neck of the woods.
very happy/excited about this place locally. the food was fresh and perfectly seasoned, i got the black and “blue” ridge salad with added shrimp with chardonnay and prisoner wine, my mother got a sandwich with cosmo and beer, the cosmo was very well made; haven’t had someone make a cosmo that well in a long time.
Shannon was our server/bartender and she was great. At one point, it seemed they over sat the restaurant with only being 2 servers working, but shannon did great still. will return
Highly recommend! Staff was friendly and attentive. Very creative menu. My mother and I enjoyed the soup de jour (beef and barley), the special flatbread (chicken and sundried tomato), the Greek tacos and chocolate pecan pie. Everything was delicious and fresh tasting! The tacos blew my mind they were that good including the pickles! Can’t wait to eat here again!
We were excited to try this new restaurant on the lower level in Spruce Pine.
We arrived in the late afternoon when the sun was still bright, so we asked for an inside table. The grill inside was going strong, so there was a good bit of smoke in the room. We ordered drinks, and when they arrived, we asked the waitress if we could move outside. She was very gracious, explaining that they were on the third fan, trying to get the exhaust working properly.
We moved outside to a nice shaded table and our food arrived soon after.
I had the flatbread pizza, one of the specials that night, which was delicious. My wife had the trout sandwich which was also very good. She eats trout often, so if she says it is good, it is!
They also have a good selection of beer and wine. My wife tried the cherry cider. Unusual and very tasty.
The staff went out of their way to make our visit a good one, and we’ll be back soon.
If you are looking for a good meal in Spruce Pine, the Gastropub is the place for you.
Never had a bad meal...
The wait is worth it if you arrive at a busy time.
Everything is prepared fresh daily and their bartenders are spot on.
Bloody Mary is my favorite, and the Margaritas are my wife's...
Chicken Alfredo and the Petite Steak and Monster big salad are our go to meals.
PS
Dining on the patio during the winter is warm and cozy...
This restaurant was great, the food comes out lightning fast and is amazing. We got the poke nachos and double stack burger with egg and bacon. Both were great. The service was exceptional from the hostess to the waitress. They have outdoor seating and indoor seating. The weather in Aug was so beautiful everyone was sitting outdoor but we chose the inside because there was no wait. It was worth it.

We have been attending the Grove for almost one year after moving to the Burnsville area. From the first time we walked in, we felt welcomed. Pastor Zack Mason presents Biblical Christianity each week in his message. We have joined a home group and h

My family and friends (12 of us) just stayed at Bear Den Spacious Skies for a week. We rented 4 pull through sites and a tent site. The group rate was very reasonable. We arrived after hours and the check in process was hassle free. During our stay,
Our waitress was EXCELLENT! Very friendly. Helpful. On the ball. Our food was excellent -- our group of 9 had everything from foot long hot dogs to the bbq (I ordered the "cup of bbq" instead of the sandwich as I didn't want a bun) to the pretzel
The food is always fresh. You also get very generous portions. I have personally tried almost every item on there menu and they have all been absolutely delicious. The staff is also super kind and friendly. If you are in Burnsville i would highly rec
A real homey and warm atmosphere. You could either sit outside by a fire or indoors. It was to cold, so we sat inside. I noticed the bar had several local brews on tap. My wife had the Philly Cheese Chicken Sandwich with Hushpuppies and I had the Fis
