Easy walk from parking lot on paved path. State park pass needed for parking lot. You can purchase a recreational permit at the entry to the parking lot. Restrooms on site; no running water. Beautiful views all around area. Great for celebrational pictures. Clean beach. Great place to hang out for the day. Dog friendly. Our group enjoyed the beach area; played in the waves, and lounged in the sand. You are able to bring your beach chairs and gear. There is a merchants table to purchase souvenirs. The sunsets are amazing, and the night sky is crystal clear. There is a small fee (we paid $8.00 usd adults) to enter the light house. As you would imagine... you are climbing steep stairs (130 steps), but there are landings with windows to stop and rest or take in the views. There are two water tight hatches and the opening to get to the outside top railing that may be daunting for some to get through. The climb is worth it for the breathtaking views of Lake Michigan coastline. The wind was scary fun on top 360 view. Full of history, built-in 1874. A must stop to check out this Michigan treasure.

Beautiful lighthouse overlooking Lake Michigan. Very easy to get to: a paved road to a paved walking path that leads directly to the lighthouse (and the beach). I'd say it's a must see when in the area, even if not touring the lighthouse. It's a known tourist spot and is typically fairly busy, but with no lines. Restroom facilities on site, but no picnic area that we seen. As of 9/2/23 it is $8 for adults to tour the lighthouse. A state park pass is also required for the parking lot.

The lighthouse was very fun to climb. The view was amazing and worth the scary winds up there! The guides are cool and obviously knowledgeable. The beach was also very cool. Lots of people. The beach was warm and you can go out pretty far before not being able to touch. Parking was cheap and the lighthouse was too.

A Must-Visit Gem on Lake Michigan's Shoreline! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're looking for a picturesque adventure on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, Little Sable Point Lighthouse should be at the top of your list. My wife and I, avid photographers and adventurers, had the pleasure of visiting this hidden gem during our road trip around Lake Michigan, and it was an experience we'll never forget. 🚐 RV-Friendly: One of the biggest concerns for RV travelers is finding suitable parking, and here, you're in luck! Little Sable Point offers ample parking, and we had no trouble maneuvering our 36-foot RV into the lot right next to the lighthouse. It made our visit incredibly convenient, allowing us to focus on the breathtaking scenery. 📸 Photographer's Paradise: For fellow shutterbugs like us, this place is a dream come true. The lighthouse itself is a stunning subject, set against the backdrop of Lake Michigan's crystal-clear waters. The unique architecture and pristine surroundings provided us with endless opportunities for high-resolution photos, and the natural lighting at different times of the day added to the magic. 🏖️ Beach Bliss: Little Sable Point is not just about the lighthouse; it's also home to an excellent beach. After capturing the perfect shots, we relaxed on the sandy shores, enjoying the serene beauty of Lake Michigan and its spectacular sunsets. Trust me; it's a sight to behold. 🌊 Great for Families: Whether you're traveling solo, with a partner, or as a family, this place has something for everyone. Kids can play in the sand, splash in the lake, and learn about the history of the lighthouse—all while surrounded by stunning natural beauty. 📷 Stay Connected: If you want to see more of our adventures and the incredible photos we captured at Little Sable Point, be sure to check us out on Facebook as "Stray Compass Life." Follow our journey, and who knows, you might discover your next travel inspiration! 💡 Lighthouse Legacy: Little Sable Point Lighthouse is not just another tourist spot; it's a piece of living history. The fact that it still boasts its original Third Order Fresnel lens is a testament to its significance. Only a handful of such lenses are operational in the United States, and this is one of them. 🌟 A Hidden Treasure: Little Sable Point Lighthouse might not be as famous as some of its counterparts, but that's what makes it special. It's a peaceful escape from the crowds, a place where you can connect with nature and relish the simple pleasures of life. 👍 Plan Your Visit: This lighthouse is nestled in Silver Lake State Park, close to Mears, Michigan. Simply follow Silver Lake Road to its south end, and you'll find N. Lighthouse Dr. The park is well-maintained, and while there's a small entrance fee, it goes towards preserving this historical site for future generations. In conclusion, if you're seeking a unique, RV-friendly, and photo-worthy destination on Lake Michigan's eastern shore, Little Sable Point Lighthouse should be on your radar. It's a place where history meets natural beauty, and where every moment is worth capturing. Don't miss out on this hidden treasure—it's a road trip memory waiting to be made.

Such a beautiful beach, the sand is so soft! I love that the sand squeaks it’s so fun! When we arrived there was a wedding set up right next to the lighthouse- very nice place for a low key but beautiful beach wedding! The bathrooms weren’t as nasty as anticipated so that was a plus! There is a good amount of space on the beach, I would imagine it could get packed pretty quick on hot summer days. But it is very beautiful, it is also rather shallow for a while! You can see my 3’7” three year old girl she can walk in it very well. So it’s a good beach for littles to be able to walk and play in the water. It’s a typical beach and gets deeper as you go out for adults. Also- for a Michigan beach it is not as rocky as some or as filled with nasty grass and gross stuff. It is one of the cleanest beaches I have been too- and It’s just a soft sand in the water- did find some small rocks but no shells to look through. Over all 10/10 would recommend to families for a little vacation spot!

Nice beach and lighthouse on Lake Michigan. Curvy narrow road to get there, but a good amount of parking once there. Bathrooms are pit toilets so there is no running water. There's a merchandise trailer open during the same hours as the lighthouse where you buy tickets for the lighthouse as well as souvenirs. $8 ticket for an adult to climb to the top of the lighthouse. There is a paved path leading to the lighthouse with a few benches as well.

Be sure to come on Tuesday as you can climb the stairs and view the lake. Great place for sunsets, swimming, pictures for any occasion from weddings to senior pics, engagement pics or just family pics. Be sure to come and enjoy this Michigan Gem!

A small group manages the lighthouse and charges to climb it to help with the cost to maintain it. Internet is spotty so bring cash if you can. The climb wasn't bad, but it is a spiral staircase for those with joint problems, or are afraid of heights. Gorgeous view is quite the payoff!!

This place always has a ton of cars and finally we went! From the sassy “Don’t seat yourself “ sign to leaving it was an awesome experience. Food was excellent, in fact, I can’t say anything negative about this restaurant.
