11.17.23 beautiful loop on a boardwalk so sneakers or hiking boots. Lots of parking. I went solo and felt safe as there were many others on this path too.If you're into photography this is a magical place to take pics from.
I’ve been coming here ever since I was a little kid, pretty much my whole life. It is a wonderful trail that is 2 miles in length and takes around 50 minutes to complete. Since it’s a circuit you don’t have to worry about getting lost, you will end up right where you started. However, if you want more exploration there are some side trails that run along the Moulthrop and Tannery brooks, one of which leads directly to the Litchfield greenway bike trail. The main boardwalk has amazing views of the Bantam river and of Little pond, it’s beautiful every time of year. The trail is also home to the biggest tree I have ever seen (pictured down below). Great place for photographers and hikers alike!
A very nice 1.6 mile walk around Little Pond. Part of the time you're in the woods. You're mostly out in the open. You don't see the pond on the walk, mostly swamp. However, it's a beautiful view. Pointer, don't go on a hot day like we did. The sun can be brutal since you're mostly out on long stretches of open fields without shade.
One of my favorite walks. It's a terrific way to walk through a marsh. I'm going to return every season. Beautiful and easy. Bohemian pizza and tacos was an excellent place for lunch after our walk.
Really lovely loop trail over the river, pond, and through the woods. Easy and only about 1.5 miles. Don't be deterred by the huge power lines you'll see towards the beginning of the boardwalk - they'll be out of sight soon as you continue on the trail. Note that there are no bathrooms/outhouses, and parts of the boardwalk are slanted. I've heard the trail gets very busy. I arrived at around 9 AM on a beautiful fall weekend, and while I saw about 10-20 people in various groupings, for the most part I was alone and had plenty of peace and quiet on the trail. I suspect that later in the day it's much busier. Looking forward to going back in other seasons!
Very good place for hiking or walking with family or friends. View from the place is awesome. Just be careful on the boardwalks , don't stop out or trip on some uneven bored. That's what happened to me and I came back wet to the parking lot.
This is a great walk, however be careful when it is rainy/lots of precipitation because it floods easily. I’ve done this walk alone with a baby in a carrier, a toddler and a dog with no issues. I would not recommend taking a stroller-the boardwalk is definitely a single file wide one and the terrain is a little rough in spots, especially for a stroller.
This park was incredibly beautiful and I loved every minute of it. It is like the best kept secret in the area and it is very easy to walk for someone who finds it difficult to hike hills as well. The only thing that I think they really need to do is improve their signage on making it easier for people to find it.

Beautiful historic estate in pastoral setting. Several meadow trails cross the property. I have liked Golding trail going through some picturesque woods and along the pond. That said, âforestâ in a name is somewhat misleading since most of the tr
The ladies working here are Dutch! So fun to talk Dutch to someone again. Lovely ladies, bought a ton of Dutch goodies. Kroepoek, borrelbootjes, hagelslag, ketjap, drop, sambal, gevulde speculaas. Made my day!
Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful "town green" location. I started with a crock of chili, lots of ground beef and even more vegetables, topped with cheddar cheese and chives, served with the best cornbread ever. I then had two fried oyster tacos wi

First of all, our server, Dana, was wonderful. She asked the right questions and was very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. Having said that, the food was exquisite, and the atmosphere was cozy and charming. We had the oysters 2.0 (incredible)
Great little old school diner. Honestly i like the cash only thing, it reminds me of going out on saturday with my dad to a diner. Service was great and food came quick even with a packed full house. Will be going again!
We stumbled upon Litchfield Pizza when touring New England. Donât be put off by the appearance - itâs a pizza parlor after all, with the fluorescent lights to prove it. But the menu is broad and varied, and the prices are reasonable. The daily s
