We absolutely loved going there yesterday. It's for military personnel and their families, which wasn't a problem for us. Will definitely visit again.
Very spacious little beach. Shallow waters perfect for the kids and lots of privacy spaces. Water’s not so clear and cold.

Drove 2 hours only to find out this beach is on a Military base. Which is fine considering there are plenty of other beaches around that we're familiar with, but was disappointing since we didn't know a head of time. So if you plan to visit this beach just know it is on Military grounds. The general area is really nice, and there are a few beaches to check out as well.
Really great family friendly beach. Never usually that crowded. Gentle waves so it's great for families with little ones. Dog friendly even in the high season. There are bathroom facilities within walking distance which are clean. Grills and picnic tables at the back too. Free and plentiful parking.
Nice beach if you are military or hs an military ID you can come here not for the GP.
The best time is 9 to 11 but there's a hidden entrance at the left you can get you camping tent there and relax. They have a volleyball post and also it's really nice to bring a board specially kids cause it's very shallow. Be ware dogs are allowed here so there's a chance you'll find pop pee or others stuff. Other wise it's really nice and relaxing place to go with your family. Partner or dogs.
If you get hungry the base has a webdys on post so you don't have to go out and buy food but there's also a xchange , before entering the base there's about three 7/11 on its ways so there's another option. Also the beach has bathrooms and showers for after .and besides the beach there's a mini golf ⛳😎 and a bowling place too. Have fun
The water is at least 10°-15° warmer than at VA Beach.
You have to have base access to get to get to it, but it's the best beach in the Tidewater area!!
It's a small beach without much to do. But it is the ocean, so as someone who does not live near the waves, it is something to experience when I have the opportunity.
Lovely little stretch of beach. Mostly locals here and people walking their dogs. There was some beach debris, but it didn't detract from the experience. Good spot to see the sunset.
Amazing team and culture at Katalyst! The culture is amazing. Everyone is welcoming and helpful. David is a phenomenal Instructor who not only provides great training and techniques, but emphasizes safety first. I canât recommend this school enough

This was so fun and staff was super great. It was mostly the company that made the trip but the sights were beautiful and even though it was rainy we just danced in the rain!!

Rachel was an excellent stretchologist. She was attentive and made sure I was comfortable at all times and provided tips on things I could do to improve my flexibility and muscle tightness. I definitely will be coming again.
My kids love coming here. The staff is all so nice, we especially love Annette. They ask almost everyday to go ð I wish I could take em that much. I recommend the punch card if a membership isn't your thing because of the monthly dues.
