Little Bit's Grill - Grill in Oak Island - 5902 E Oak Island Dr, USA

Great experience here! We were looking for a spot to eat on our way out of town and all the breakfast spots looked packed at 10am. After being up for hours already I wasn’t really in the mood for breakfast food anyway. We decided to stop by Little Bit’s since they were just opening and had not yet gotten customers. I walked in to make sure they were actually seating customers since it was a couple minutes before 10am. They were really kind and enthusiastically told me I could sit wherever. I asked about a high chair and when I came back inside with the baby, they had one ready for us. As for the food, I was in the mood for a burger and boy this did not disappoint! What a phenomenal burger, it was simple and no frills, a handmade cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, and some bacon. You can get some other varieties like chili cheese burgers and all. Nothing too out there or experimental, but it was executed perfectly and we all enjoyed our burgers immensely. We did get large burgers, I was talked into it, and they were legitimately huge! I couldn’t quite finish the whole thing but not for lack of trying. Next time I’ll definitely order the small. All in all, the burger hit the spot and then some. As for service, we could not have asked for better! Everything was very prompt and all of the staff were helpful and attentive. We grabbed a paper menu to tuck away in our luggage for next years vacation, we will 100% be frequenting Little Bits from now on. Now keep in mind though, this may not quite be your experience depending on how busy they are. We were basically the first people in the door due to the timing, but I’m sure they get overrun during the summertime like every other business on the Island. We always try to be understanding of that and factor that into any restaurant experience. To be honest though, if the burgers come out like that every time then it would be worth the wait. Our little guy also enjoyed himself immensely and was eyeing our burgers the whole time. I think our little bit definitely approved of Little Bits!

No frills monster double burger shack and longtime local favorite on oak island drive across from the food lion. I've had the hot dogs and the burgers and fries, there is nothing bad to say about this joint. All around super clean, and as long as it isn't tourist season you can usually get in and out without a hitch!

Best burger in North Carolina just like the Our State magazine stated. If you see a petite waitress, her name is Lisa and she I'd the best. She is not the owner of little bits but she cares about her customers. Tell her Big Dawg sent you and watch her smile.

The food was great! The service was quick and friendly, but the little girl taking my order was wearing a mask, and would not speak up, no matter how many times I told her that I could not hear her. It was a large carry out order for 9 different people, and they put everything in one box, without labeling most items. And I had sticky notes already prepared for each order, but they would not use them. Making my delivery very difficult. I definitely recommend the food. U definitely do not recommend them for a complicated carry out order.

The food here is amazing, that explains the wait for a table so we order our food to go. It is cozy inside, not many tables. My boyfriend always orders a cheeseburger and I get the pulled pork platter. They do not have onion rings anymore☹️ but the fries are good. Way better than fast food.

First time coming here and i was impressed. It’s nothing fancy just a small mom and pop shop. The larger burger is GIANT so if you are hungry then go for the large! The service was amazing and my drink never got lower than half. I spend 14 for larger burger fries and drink.

Smallest diner I have ever been in the service was first rate I planned on getting it to go but I had to stay. Best cheeseburger I have had in 6 months... Love the staff!!!

Went to Lil Bits for the first time today. Its mid September and we were at the table for a approximately 30 min. I was with my 92 year old mother and one of my nieces. My mother has trouble swallowing and cannot eat super fast. Our server started trying to take away our plates before my mother and niece were finished eating…Twice. The 3rd time the server asked they let her take them away despite not being finished. We sat for a few more minutes finishing our drinks when the server then told us she had a couple waiting for a table and that we needed to leave. We got up and noticed an empty table in the back. I’ve never been treated so rudely in a restaurant. Oak Island has plenty of other restaurants who treat their customers with respect. We will be going to those instead of Lil Bits.
