Literally the best gym I’ve ever been a part of. The people are so welcoming and you really become a part of the family. We all try to go to each others competitions to support and they have some of the best trainers in Utah for sure. We also have a combat gym just across the parking lot that has boxing and jujitsu coaches, yoga, self defense, etc. it’s an amazing community to be a part of and learn from
I've been going to Lions Pride for a year working with Brandon and it has been amazing. I'm not a traditional power lifter, but I love it here. From increasing my strength and speed to custom tailoring my program, Brandon worked with me to meet my goals and educated me along the way. He has been flexible with my schedule and helped adjust my program through injuries as well. I love the equipment and staff. Everyone encourages you and helps each other. If you are looking to really make a change in your workout, I highly recommend Lions Pride, you won't regret it.
Preston is an amazing and knowledgeable coach. My deadlift has gone up over 100lbs in less than a year working with him. He has exceeded my expectations of what a great trainer is. I’m so glad I joined Lions Pride not only for the strength gains but for the people.
Be wary of joining a gym run by the owner, Doug. He had a combat gym across the street under his Lions Pride, LLC. My son had membership for the kid’s martial arts classes. We heard from the coach on 7 DEC, 2023, abruptly and informally, that the gym was closing at the end of the month. Doug then removed all classes from 11 DEC on, still without formal notice. I requested a partial refund as I had paid through the end of December, and again, there were no more class offerings. He refused, saying my child still has “access” to the gym until it’s permanently closed at end of the month. My son is 8…and there are no classes, no coach, vital equipment removed, but I don’t get a refund because there is still this “space” Doug is on the hook for through the end of the month?? He’s been throwing pancake breakfasts and promotions for this barbell gym to get membership up, but my guess is sinking ship.
I have been going to this gym for 2 years . I never saw myself as a consistent gym goer but this place definitely changed that for me . I have a family here everyone is willing to step in an help, it’s one of the best gyms in layton . I have been training with Brandon since the beginning of this year and he has changed my life and helped me grow into the lifter I didn’t know existed is then me . Doug is an amazing gym owner and is always there to help anyone in his gym !
Where to even begin. This gym is more than a gym. It’s a family. Great people, great environment, and great equipment. It’s a home away from home. If you want a gym where everyone supports you and makes you feel welcome. Lions Pride is the place for you.
Love this gym and the people in it! That's a mix of everyone and everything. Whether you're looking for a hype man to help you hit that PR, or a friendly smile from someone who knows to leave you alone once you're headphones are in 😂 this is a place where everyone is a part of! From beginner to world record athletes this gym will help you succeed in whatever you're looking for!
My teenage son has been working out with Brandon for almost 1 year now. As parents, we could not be happier with our experience with Lion’s Pride. Not only has our son’s physical abilities improved, more importantly, his attitude and resoluteness has taken off, and can be seen in other challenges that our son has been up against.
When he started, he was new to the scene and did not have any experience with weightlifting. Brandon took his time to ensure that our son had proper form and understood the proper motions and techniques. 1 year later, his confidence and how he holds himself in has grown tremendously.
One more note: Everyone at the gym has welcomed our son and have been super supportive and encouraging.
Thank you to Brandon and everyone at Lions Pride!

Just became a member a couple weeks ago and have loved this gym. The people are kind, the facility is clean, and the atmosphere feels good. Also my kids have loved the daycare. The lady who runs it is the sweetest and takes good care of the kids.
