Just passing through the area, I stopped at Lions Park and Bike Path Trailhead in Moab for a quick hike. It is not a very long trail from what I could see (unless the path is obscured by vegetation!), but the trail crosses the Colorado River and passes along some beautiful red rocks.
Amazing trail. Dog friendly (keep them on the leash) & goes on for a few miles before the sidewalk ends and merges with the road. Go early and you’ll have the place to yourself. We were there from 8-11am and when we were leaving everyone was arriving. Bridge was pretty but there’s not much after you cross. Amazing views for those who can’t take their pups to the Arches National park
So beautiful. Truly a lovely way to end the day. We hiked and drive and drive and walked all day at Arches, starting with the blue hour before sunrise. We were pleasantly exhausted but we decided to stop by. So glad we did!! What a lovely bridge and seeing the Colorado River like this is a rare treat as it’s a LOT smaller and rough in Colorado. There was plenty of parking and bathrooms and when we arrived some children were having a blast climbing on the giant rocks. I do believe it was accessible as well.
Gorgeous place, you can beat Moab and it was nice to park and go for an easy walk. The first two miles of path is paved. It looks like you can access lots of trails (hiking and biking) from Lions. It is easy to find and free to park. Glad we stopped here!
Beautiful picnic area and trailhead with ample parking and surrounded by sweet red rock views. Dog friendly. Located just north of Moab town and just south of Arches. Nice restrooms
Beautiful trail next to the Colorado River. 4.4 miles round trip. It’s too short, so took the trail another direction to the entrance of Arches national park. We could have gone further but it got windy and we headed back to Lions Park. 8.5 miles including both trails.
Nice park with plenty of open green space! There's the bike trail nearby, a cool bridge, a climbing gym for kids, and even bathrooms. A great place to stop between Arches National Park, or any day adventure you're having! Our dog Luna loved played frisbee there.
This is such a treasure! Great parking availability, clean restrooms and easy access to the bike trail that runs north up to and beyond Arches National Park. Highly recommended.

Special place! Large musical park with life size xylophones and bells. Both my five year old and toddler love it. Maintenance crew was there at the beginning of the day, appears like it was to restore flood damage. Take your kids here!

Awesome trail! We were the only ones riding up. Did it with a Sasquatch Ford Bronco and jeep with 37s and 3 in lift and both were taking on the trail without too much problem. Couldn't take the cars all the way to the top as it was all snowed/icy so

Best trail weâve run to date. Every bit as challenging as the ratings say, but soooo much fun. Very manageable if you want to make it easy (moderately) and insanely difficult if youâre up for it. Took us nearly six hours because we stopped a lot
