Although it's most popular for its boat launching spot, it also is a nice place just for walking and enjoying nature right next to the Mississippi River. When I have been here, there are usually not many other people around, so it is a nice place for anyone who likes to be alone.
Stopped to picnic at this little island park. Disappointed that the stairs to bring you to the lower parking lot and bridge to the island were torn out and it didn’t look like they were attempting to replace them anytime soon. The overlook from the upper parking lot didn’t overlook anything as I’m guessing the trees have all grown since it was put in. The walk around the island was interesting with some amazing fallen trees and an odd little broke and bent what looked to be a loading dock at some point. It was a great place to wander around even with the over growth of weeds and such!
Under construction fue to rain but good spot
Nice place to watch the river flow by. Fishing is a past time and boating. Very quiet and clean.
Truly an amazing place to go to relax and nice trails and water areas. Also has grills in the area for grilling and spending time with family or friends
Great little park to come out with my granddaughters to watch boats go by.
Sat in my car in the parking lot and just watched the river flow and all the birds dive-bombing. The park needs some work and cleanup. There used to be stairs from the upper lot to the lower lot, but they appear to have washed away. These need to be fixed. Otherwise, nice park.
