Great camping experience with jaw dropping views. Everyone followed the "leave no trace" guideline, and there are a lot of cool hikes around!
Such a beautiful park. The gorge itself is very lovely, lots of hikes to choose from. Plenty of spots along the river to go swimming safely and lots of big beautiful rocks to climb on. Just watch out for snakes on the forest trails!
Great hike and destination. Boulders are enormous and water is cool and refreshing. The road to the trailhead is super bumpy. If driving a compact car just go slow and you'll get there and back.
I love this place so much!! Such a cool place to see and visit. Some of the best waterfalls in NC. The trails are great and it’s rather easy to get to the waterfalls. There are a ton of places to do primitive camping for free. Highly recommend!!
It's truly one of my most favorite places to go hike.
Each trail has a phenomenal view of the gorge below. The waterfalls are breathtaking and the river is a calming oasis. One of my best hikes in NC.
The Grand Canyon of the East! Located in the Pisgah Forest, this beautiful destination will not disappoint! Enjoy views, trails(for all levels) and the beautiful waterfalls nestled here… Great for day trips or weekend camping adventures
I highly enjoyed the Linville Gorge trail heading down to the waterfalls vs. going across the river and up to the top views!! The view of the waterfall is just 100x better down here. Turn left before walking through the visitor center and up the stairs to find this trail!
My wife and I hiked the chimneys in the biggening of November, it wasn't too busy and it was still green enough. Breath taking views from every point of view, we keep taking photos every minute. You can really appreciate and see the beauty of The Lin

Great local bottle shop. They have outdoor seating, great service, and excellent prices. There's a really cool shuffleboard and various areas to sit and talk or watch the game. Check them out sometime and see what's free on the menu for Sunday. I wen
My sixteen year old cat and I were new to the area, and unfortunately her kidneys failed a week before Christmas. The staff here were so kind to us and took care of her so respectfully. I also wish I could thank the kind woman who was there with her
