Nice easy trail easy for the whole family, but also a jumping off point for a serious climb up the actual mountain range, choose your own adventure, but all skill levels can't be accommodated

Well kept dirt trail with some fun rock steps and a gradual incline. I wandered clockwise from the entrance map and came back around the loop - was about a 2 mile loop, completed in just under an hour. It's a small parking lot but there is another "overflow" lot right across the road - the signage indicating a permit needed to park only applies to overnight campers according to Becky with the park service (whom I called when I arrived and saw the signs)

I live in the relative flat, so this felt like a fair amount of elevation. But, it wasn’t too bad in December. The views made the work worth while. You have to watch your step, but remember to look around a lot. Every new step makes a changing vista.

I highly recommend this less popular gem for a pleasant hike. This trail is less popular than the State Park nearby, making it ideal for a quiet hike. There is a fair bit of climb and descend, which is worth of taking a note if you are not ready for that. The trail portion itself is well maintained dirt trail. No dogs or mountain biking.

I'd heard many good things about this trail since moving to the area a few months ago and it did not disappoint! The main trail is only a few miles long but a bit narrower and more rocky than I expected. You can take it at a leisurely pace or run it, as I've seen several people do, for a pretty intense workout. I was pleasantly surprised to see that parking wasn't an issue (with several spots still free) in the pre-sunset hour I chose to visit on a Thursday evening. I also encountered only a few other people on the trail and everyone maintained proper social distance. I suspect things might be a bit busier in the early a.m. hours and as the weather cools. All in all, great scenic hike I suggest checking out near sunset during the week. Keep in mind it closes at 6 pm so be sure to give yourself plenty of time if you come in the evening.

Edit: wanted to note that the trail towards the peak becomes a but hard to follow. I'm honestly not certain if I was on the main trail until I was 10 minutes from the peak. I’m within 15 minutes of the trail to Mt Kimball, Pima Canyon and Linda Vista. I love Linda Vista so much! It has the standard casual loop trail which is what it’s named for. That’s good for a quick 30 minute enjoyable hike. HOWEVER! It also has a super fun/mildly difficult trail all the way up to Pusch Peak! You get to scramble a bunch on it and it’s so close to my house! It takes me like ~6-7 hours out and back, which is a bit shorter than Mt Kimball. Super nice views. You can see Picacho peak and the biosphere from parts of this trail.

First time visitors. We took our 8 month old and 2.5 year old. As a result, we took a short path. It was a nice walk. The 2.5 year old was able to do most of the path. He is a little climber. He nearly fell on cactus so you definitely gotta keep em close. He ran a little too fast. The path is narrow in some areas. Can't wait to go back and take a longer route without the babies
